I just installed a clip-on handlebar kit that you might be interested in, so I will leave a review for late users. There are no signs of use because I haven't been able to ride it yet.

The exchange itself was completed without that much trouble. The replacement procedure is omitted, as you only have to turn the visible screws to remove it. Please be careful not to damage the body of the motorcycle.

It took me half a day to do the maintenance as I am not used to it, but you can do it in about 2 hours if you are used to it.

Required Tools

  • Hexagonal wrench (5 mm/6 mm)
  • Box end wrench (8-10mm)
  • Torque wrench (You don't need a torque wrench if you want to tighten it by hand.)
  • Screwdriver
  • Flat head screwdriver (for prying off the hexagonal hole cover)
  • Screw Locker
  • Parts cleaner (for pulling out the left grip)
  • Cutter knife (more on this later)

The OEM parts can be used entirely. However, be careful of the grip end. The end is secured by tightening a screw to crush and expand the rubber, but the inner diameter of the grip is narrowed from about 5cm inside, so the rubber at the end does not fit. So I used the above-mentioned cutter knife to scrape off the outer circumference of the fixed rubber.

As a reference, if you make it about the same diameter as the diameter of the washer in contact with the rubber, you will be able to enter the grip end. Also, read the instructions carefully to make sure you are using the right and left handlebars correctly. This is all you need to pay attention to.

Well, I think it's great for the fitting. It is rigid and sturdy. Of course, you can use the OEM mirrors, but I think it would be better for the balance of the motorcycle if you change to lower mirrors at the same time because of the lower handlebars.

The position is of course a little forward leaning, so it's hard for people with back pain. In addition, the range of motion of the handlebars that everyone cares about is fully lockable with no interference. Thanks to BABYFACE, it's amazing!

The grip end has been trimmed, but the others can be installed without modification.

Overall, it's a mess if it looks like this at this price. It still looks cool when the handlebars are lowered. Isn't this lowness moderate with bolt-on? I recommend this product for KATANA riders who want to add the clip-on handlebars. (By: HACHI)

It's a great match for KATANA! Even the handlebar angle is designed for the exclusive use of BABYFACE. It will not interfere with the fuel tank even when fully locked. The reason why I haven't been able to ride it yet is because it has been raining? The end of the rainy season is almost here. I'm looking forward to going for a ride! (Webike Staff: from Kenji)
