Honda Grom (MSX-125) OEM HACK
Introducing the passionate story from Tamarin-r who rides the Grom, from Webike Community "My Beloved Moto" campaign.
He will share how to divert the OEM parts of the VERSYS-X 250, which he knows well because he is the owner.
A brief self-introduction
I'm an old man who discovered the joys of motorcycling during the motorcycle boom of the late 80's. I love touring down the road and if I don't tell anyone, I'll ride all day.
In this article, I'll show you how to divert the stock parts of the motorcycles I've played with the most since I started playing with the motorcycles. It is an early model of a HONDA GROM. I bought a used one with 3800k miles on it.
When I bought the GROM, the round mirror was kind of dull and the vibration of the handlebars was big and not easy to use, so I thought why not change to the sharp mirror of PCX150 which I had two at that time.
A brief description of this HACK
Replaced with a stock PCX mirror. (The stock one looks like a snail's eyeball, and it's wild.)
*When I bought it, it was OEM black, and when I hacked it, I changed the exterior.

Summary of HACK
The factory mirrors (the ones that come with it from the beginning) are
- The shape isn't great and it's small.
- Visibility is poor and the chrome-plated brackets are long and spaced out.
- The vibration of the steering wheel wobbles a lot.
- Tawdry
I didn't like it because it looked like a snail's eyeball. I wanted to do something about the lack of sharpness, especially since I went from stock to a lacy Rothman's color.
So I thought how about replacing the mirror of the PCX150 with a sharp mirror with a pointy end that was leftover, and when I replaced it, visibility improved and the appearance became stylish.
As a manufacturer, it's probably an off-road style round mirror, but it's sharper for the PCX because it's wider and more angular. Also, the bracket is bent in different ways to avoid arm shots and improve visibility.
It was disappointing that it had no effect on vibration (same), but I highly recommend it for its balance with the handlebar width.
Thank you, Tamarin-r, for posting that valuable stock diversion HACK!
