This week's pickup review
Beautiful metal work
- It's a sniper's product, so I think it's a reliable part. (In terms of durability.)
- This is a so-called V-shaped stand hook, which looks very racy.
- It has a sprocket guard.
- Instruction manual is included. Two sniper stickers are included.
Notes
- It comes in pieces, not assembled. It looks simple, but the V-shape needs to be assembled.
- The warning sign says that a mechanic should install it. If you don't have confidence, don't force yourself and ask a mechanic to do it.
- It is recommended to use the commonly used spool type that can be installed with a single bolt.
- Be sure to re-tighten the bolts as there are many of them. It is better to use thread locker.
Assembly Tips
- There are eight hexagonal bolts. Four of them are of different lengths plus four of the same length.
- Line up the bolts in order of length before assembly.
- It is written in the instruction manual where and with which bolt to assemble it. It can be determined by the length of the bolts.
- Temporarily assemble it before installing it to the body.
- The ZX-25R has a boss (screw hole) for attaching the stand hook from the beginning, so there is no need to worry about it being attached to the vehicle.
- It is not difficult to install it to the motorcycle because it only requires one bolt.
- Fine tune the temporarily assembled stand hooks to the motorcycle to make sure they are assembled correctly.
- Especially the black round part that interferes with the swingarm is very important to adjust.
- After fine tuning, remove it from the body and tighten the bolts to complete the assembly.
- Installed with a single hexagonal bolt to the motorcycle and that's it.
Satisfaction
- The parts are beautiful metal processing as only a sniper can do.
- The price is over 10,000 yen, which is more than twice as much as the spool type sold for about 5,000 yen, but the appearance is totally different.
- Think of the difference in price as the difference in appearance. (It's also worth it as a sprocket guard.)
Recommended
- If you want a cheap and easy installation, we recommend the spool type.
- If you want to look gorgeous and lacy, this is the product for you.
- Installation is not a problem if you are a regular tinkerer of the motorcycle.
- If you're not familiar with it, you should have a mechanic do it for you. It's sad to see a motorcycle fall over from a stand due to a defective installation.
