Stock stand hooks protrude from the swingarm so if the stand hook breaks in a fall, the bolt will be left in place, but the racing stand hook is flat so it will not be damaged in a fall.
The sprocket guard is attached to the left side stand hook, so it complies with MFJ regulations. The same series of racing stand hooks have been used in the Asian Road Race Championship and BRIC Thailand Superbike Championship.
