Brief self-introduction

32 years of motorcycle experience

How I enjoy my motorcycle on a regular basis

I've been riding motorcycles for 32 years and enjoy practicing and racing on the track. My main focus was motocross, but a few years ago I started to enjoy enduro as well. I also have a motorcycle that I can ride on public roads and I go touring.

How long I have been riding this motorcycle?

It's been three years now since I bought this motorcycle new.

Motive for purchase

About 28 years ago, I bought an air-cooled Honda CR80 for 30,000 yen and played with it. It had a lot of power, but it was peaky and difficult, but it was also very fun. That's what I remembered when I bought the KX85II.

Satisfaction

For applications
It's a motocrosser so I'm not complaining at all about that application, the 2-stroke is a lot of fun!

For riding
It's a 2-stroke motocrosser, so it's a bit peaky, but it's also a bit slower than my old CR80. I also think the fuel economy has improved. The 5L tank is enough for motocross, but I wondered if it would be enough for enduro. The first time I rode this motorcycle in a 90-minute enduro race, I filled up the fuel tank and prepared extra fuel. But I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to complete the 90 minutes without refueling. However, I don't think I could last 120 minutes.

For appearance
The racy style is very good. It's neat with no extras other than what is necessary.

Dissatisfaction

For applications
It's fun to do motocross, but it might be a little hard to use in enduro.

For riding
The suspension is poor compared to full size. So it's scary and difficult, but I think that's the fun of mini-motos.

For appearance
It's a racer, and it's more about riding than looks, so I don't have any complaints about it.

Summary

This is for riders who just want to have fun on the track. The price of the motorcycle is affordable, and since it is a two-stroke, the cost of overhauling is not extremely high. It is also an easy size for a light one-box motorcycle.

Thank you, Smiley, for a narrative that shows so much love for the KX85-II!
