Took a 20 foot freefall of a desert cliff. Was wearing this helmet. I walked away!! Lost a few minutes and took a few days to come fully back. But Im not dead. Bought another one. Like bells motto in the 70s said " If you have a 10 dollar head get a 10 dollar helmet. Best fit and protection for the price. Sweat buckets in the desert in the summer. Water replaces that, nothing replaces your brain!Awesome helmet for the price, fits perfect, relatively light, good ventilation and easy to clean. You only get one brain and it doesn?t heal so protect it!!Very nice fitting helmet with great performance at a good price! I have two of these helmets and would buy them again if needed. My cousin tried my helmet and fell in love with it too.The visor is mounted differently than most helmets to avoid breaking them and it works great. The MIPS is definitely a good selling point too as an extra added layer of protection for your neck.

Size Chart For Helmet
How to measure the size of your head
First, measure the circumference of your head with a measuring tape.
Measure from the highest point of your forehead, just above your eyebrows, horizontally backwards to the highest point of the back of your head and around.
Based on the measurement, choose the size from the table below.
However, unlike hats, helmets cannot be sized by head circumference alone.
Also, helmets of the same manufacturer may feel different even if they are the same size depending on the model.

Ordering Size | XS | S | M | L | XL | 2XL |
Head Measurement (cm) | 53 - 54 cm | 55 - 56 cm | 57 - 58 cm | 59 - 60 cm | 61 - 62 cm | 63 - 64 cm |

[SCIENCE IN MOTION]
MIPS (multi-directional impact protection system) Technology in which the slip plane helps to dissipate the impact of rotational energy.
■WHY IT'S IMPORTANT
When the head is subjected to a rotational (oblique) impact, the rotational acceleration places a large burden on the brain tissue.
This may result in various types of brain damage.
Helmets with MIPS technology provide effective protection against this specific impact.
■HOW IT WORKS
Rotational Energy Management
The "slip zone" in the impact liner moves slightly between the layers of the inner layer, reducing the direct impact and consequently the amount of rotational energy transmitted.
[TIME IS EVERYTHING]
Bell engineers have spent more than 60 years studying the forces involved in collisions in a variety of scenarios.
Recent studies have concluded that brain damage caused by angled impacts is more severe due to the greater burden placed on the brain tissue.
MIPS copes with this impact by sliding independently of the helmet by only a few millimeters.
At this moment, the movement of the brain in the skull can be suppressed and the burden on the brain caused by angular impact can be reduced.
[THE MINDS BEHIND MIPS]
MIPS AB was founded in 2001 by Hans Peter, a graduate of the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, and three other experts in the field of biomechanics.
He has extensive and in-depth knowledge of head and neck injuries through his research on injury prediction and simulation of head and neck injuries using advanced data methods.
