The SUPERSTRAP can quickly and easily adapt to various conditions and shows us how much fun it can be to treat the exhaust as a single setting component.
The exhaust setting is done by a diffuser disc which has a structure unique to Supertrap.
By adding this disc, the area of the exhaust port is expanded and the exhaust air pressure is reduced.
This widens the power band and increases power at the maximum rpm of the engine, which has the effect of reducing the fuel mixture ratio and increasing exhaust noise.
Conversely, reducing the number of discs has the effect of narrowing the power band, increasing torque at lower engine speeds, thickening the fuel mixture and reducing exhaust noise.
