It's a question that every rider has considered.
"Which is better, Arai or SHOEI?"
Starting with Honda and Yamaha in the HY war, then B+COM and SENA in Kinoko Takenoko War, isn't the motorcycle world often lumped in with the two major brands?
So if you're wondering, which of the two brands is better in the end? Many users seem to be concerned about it, and I often see a sentence like "Compared to the ~brand" in Webike reviews.
In this article, I'll pick up comparative reviews written by users of both Arai and SHOEI, respectively.
Let's review Arai and SHOEI!
When asked which one is better, it's hard to decide which of these two big brands is better in general. The more you know about each brand, the more you'll love it? So, let's start with a brief introduction of Arai and SHOEI's brands.
Arai Review
The history of Arai Helmet Inc. can be traced back to 1902, when the company was founded by Mr. Yui Yuiichiro Arai as a hat shop in Kyobashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. Later, Mr. Hirotake Arai started manufacturing protective hats and in 1950, the company was incorporated as Arai Hirotake Shoten Co.
Since Mr. Hirotake was a motorcycle rider himself, he started to make motorcycle helmets by himself.
ARAI SAFETY is the company's standard that goes above and beyond the Snell standard, and we make helmets that maintain a high level of safety.
Arai's favorite riders include Dani Pedrosa, a long-time Honda works rider in MotoGP, and the living legend of WSB, Jonathan Ray, among others.
Review of SHOEI
The history of SHOEI began when Eitaro Kamata founded a polyester processing manufacturer in 1954, and in 1959, he established Shoei Kako Co. Honda began manufacturing motorcycle helmets in 1960 when a Honda employee heard complaints about foreign-made helmets when he was using the inn owned by Mr. Kamada.
In 1965, the helmet was adopted as a genuine Honda Motor helmet, and the company grew to establish local subsidiaries in the U.S. and France, and in 1980, it became the world's largest helmet manufacturer.
In MotoGP, Marc Marquez (as well as his brother Alex), Bradley Smith, and other famous riders have been using SHOEI.

Arai users pick up the SHOEI review!

I've always been a SHOEI rider, but recently I liked the comfort of the Arai helmet and used the RX-7X. When I heard about the Vector X Kawasaki Takeoff at my favorite motorcycle shop, I fell in love with it at first sight and bought it right away.

The SHOEI is lighter than the Arai, but unfortunately, it doesn't fit my head shape and the temples of the glasses get stuck in the interior tension. As long as this shape is not discontinued, I think I will continue to use it.

I wondered how it was going to be compared to the ventilation of SHOEI's X14, but as far as ventilation is concerned, it is not inferior at all. But as far as ventilation is concerned, it is not inferior to SHOEI's X14. As for the fitting, the shape of the head may be suitable for Arai, or the fit is just right, without putting the pad around like SHOEI.

The SHOEI J-Force IV was the most likely candidate for purchase, but the renewed ARAI Jet Hell, the improved basic performance of the Jet Hell, and the positioning of the full model change, attracted my attention, and on the recommendation of a friend, I hurriedly purchased the said product. I came to purchase it. In the end, I chose it for the peace of mind that it would protect my basic head.

As I used to work in the motorcycle industry in the past, I tried Arai's helmet for the first time, but the fit of Arai's helmet was much better than X-FOURTEEN, as many Japanese and foreign racers (drivers) use them.

Most people say they chose Arai because of fit and safety! If you continue to ride with a poor fit, you'll get a headache and that's not a good thing.
And on the next page, I look at what SHOEI users have to say about it. What do SHOEI users think about in addition to fit and safety?
