Alan Techer heads to the upcoming 46th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race a winner – and fully aware of the importance of Japan’s FIM Endurance World Championship qualifier.
Techer joined fellow Frenchman Corentin Perolari in delivering F.C.C. TSR Honda France its first EWC victory since it won the 24 Heures Motos in 2023 by triumphing in last month’s 8 Hours of Spa Motos.
His focus has now switched to the 46th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race from 1-3 August when Japanese rider Taiga Hada will complete the F.C.C. TSR Honda France line-up on the #5 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP.
Techer in action at "special place" Suzuka in 2023
“The Suzuka 8 Hours is a very important race to me, especially this year as we are right in the middle of EWC title hunt with an epic win in the 8 Hours of Spa Motos,” Techer said. “Suzuka is also very special place for me, and it’s a home track for my team. Plus, I’ve had many good times and some challenging times there over many past seasons. Our bike, riders and team are working very well now, so we can show our speed and aim to take maximum championship points home.”
Perolari, 27, said: “I’m looking forward to racing in the Suzuka 8 Hours again. Suzuka is a very challenging track. You must be both brave and precise to go fast there. After winning the last EWC round at Spa, the riders and our team are very motivated to achieve a strong race result. Our goal is to take the maximum points possible to win the EWC title. I love our bike; it’s very fast, smooth, and fun. It’s hard to wait to ride it at the iconic Suzuka track.”

Like Perolari, Hada, 26, is a new F.C.C. TSR Honda France recruit for the 2025 season. He said: “This year’s Suzuka 8 Hours will be my third attempt. My last two times were so challenging with several instances of bad luck. I’d like to do my best to score my best result with this great bike and great team. The EWC presents a different type of challenge compared to Moto2 and other series I’ve raced so far. With the experience I gained in Le Mans and Spa-Francorchamps, I want to fight hard here in my homeland with the team.”
Techer marked his full-time return to F.C.C. TSR Honda France for 2023 by finishing third at Suzuka that year. After the opening two rounds of the 2025 EWC season, F.C.C. TSR Honda France is fourth in the provisional standings, 30 points behind Yamalube YART Yamaha EWC Official Team.
