Michael van der Mark has been recruited to ride for BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team in next month’s 46th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race.
The four-time winner of Japan’s FIM Endurance World Championship round will join Steven Odendaal and Markus Reiterberger on the #37 machine. Sylvain Guintoli will skip the Suzuka event.
Van der Mark, 32, races for the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK team in the FIM Superbike World Championship. A winner in the series last season, the Dutchman is 14th in the current standings.
His victories in the Suzuka 8 Hours came in 2013, 2014, 2017 and 2018. He also finished second in 2019 (pictured).
