Alan Techer has confirmed he will be fit for action when the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship begins with the 24 Heures Motos later this month.
The F.C.C. TSR Honda France rider was unable to take part in the Pré-Test for the 24 Heures Motos earlier this week due to an injury to his left hand sustained when he fell during the French Superbike event at Le Mans last weekend.
He explained: “We make a little crash in corner five, Le Musée, and my [left] hand touched the ground but we go immediately to the hospital to make everything clear and we will be fit for Le Mans, I make my maximum to bit. It won’t be 100 per cent but 95 per cent and that will be okay, for sure.”
Asked what impact missing the Pré-Test could have on his chances of banking a strong result in the 24 Heures Motos, Techer said: “I know my team-mates and I know what we have done in testing so far [this year]. From what they explained the road we have taken [during the Pré-Test] can be a good one. For me it’s not a big problem [not to be riding here]. I know the track, I know the bike and the tyre. It would be better to make the test, but I am sure I will be fast for the week of the 24 Heures Motos.”
Japan’s Taiga Hada and Frenchman Corentin Perolari will join 30-year-old Techer on the #5 F.C.C. TSR Honda France entry.
The 24 Heures Motos takes place from 17-20 April. Ticket information is available HERE.
