Introducing the custom motorcycle that has been submitted to the Webike Community "MOTO HACK Custom Motorcycle Contest" campaign!
Meet the custom motorcycle of Kawaken who rides SR400.
Motorcycles and self-introduction
[Self-introduction]
Obtained a standard motorcycle license at the age of 24 and a large motorcycle license at the age of 34. Including mopeds, I have been riding motorcycles for 19 years. I bought three new motorcycles: 2001 Yamaha Vino (2000 model), 2003 Yamaha SR400 25th (2003 model), and 2016 Kawasaki ZRX1200DAEG (2016 model), which I am still riding with care.
I do some simple maintenance myself, but basically, I bring in the parts and leave the customization to the motorcycle shop. For parts I don't have, I borrow tools from the motorcycle shop and make them myself. Painting is done at home through trial and error.
[Motorcycles]
For 10 years I drove it almost stock, just replacing the mirrors with round ones. I wanted to add a bikini cowl to the motorcycle, and then the customization never stopped. The motorcycle has passed the inspection with this exterior as a single-seater specification.
Customization of the particulars
[Directionality]
It's a 40-year-old supersport concept. My goal is to create a cafe racer that is beautiful to look at and fun to ride.
[Points that I think are cool]
The low position created by the devil's backstep and the Sepahan bikini cowl lowered to the very limit. The original SR was an off-road motorcycle with a high neck position, so it may not actually be as low as it looks.
[Points of change in performance]
The CR carburetor has increased the torque of the acceleration considerably and made it even more fun. It works well with the muffler, and I have no noticeable complaints with the pimping.
I drove it for 10 years in almost normal condition, just replaced the mirror with a round one.
I've even had a sissy bar bag hanging off my back.
Custom Points
Custom initialization
I put on a Bike Galley Thruxton X-SR front cowl and rode with the black gelcoat for a while to see if it would crack under vibration. It's scary to think about it now, because I was going to attack the mountain pass with this body. I have scraped this silencer because of the dented rear suspension.
Early Cafe Racer
The normal fenders interfere with the lightness of the motorcycle. The mirrors were also cheap and too small to see much of the back.
While painting the cowl, I also painted the helmet and the motorcycle lunch container. The tank was still stock at this time.
CR carburetor and big fin kit. This is a type of carburetor that utilizes the air cleaner box as a chamber. Normally the air filter is removed, but I kept the high flow filter that I had on the carburetor.

Brand: Double M (Wellington)
The big fins are made in Thailand and are specific to the SR, but they can't be popped on, so I had to cut various parts. In addition, only the top half of the fin was set up, so I had to make the bottom half myself by cutting aluminum sheets with a thread saw. My back muscles hurt like crazy!
I changed the brake rotors and calipers because the CR carburetor improved the acceleration and the stock brakes were not so forgiving. The floating pins are red to match the color of the motorcycle, and they seem to coordinate with the Brembo marks.

Corsa Single Seat

It is expensive, but I think that I painted it by myself well. The tank is longer so I cut the seat myself. I would like to make a thicker tuck roll as it is thin and has a forward slipping system. The mirror is attached directly to the cowl, so I put my own stay on the back side to reduce vibration.
Here's an image I'd like to share!
I thought it would be cool from behind at an angle.
Customization that I want to do in the future
My spokes and wheels are getting rusty and I'd like to go with H-rims or stock black rims & black hubs.
