Triumph Motorcycles Japan Co., Ltd. has announced the release of the new 2026 model "SCRAMBLER 400 XC". It is scheduled to be released in September 2025, with the price starting from $6487.51.
"SCRAMBLER 400 XC" with a Stronger Off-road Feel
The new SCRAMBLER 400 XC is a derivative of Triumph's mid-class SCRAMBLER 400 X, which can be ridden with a regular motorcycle license, and offers improved off-road performance. It offers a new approach that injects SCRAMBLER design DNA, premium finishes, and genuine adventure technology, expanding Triumph's already highly acclaimed 400cc modern classic lineup.
The SCRAMBLER 400 XC is equipped with lightweight Excel aluminum rims and tubeless tires, 19 inches in the front and 17 inches in the rear, not only providing peace of mind when riding off-road, but also giving the rider an authentic scrambler stance and confident riding. A new color-coded front mudguard, distinctive fly screen, and handguards protect the rider in harsh conditions, and a sturdy aluminum sump guard and engine bar protect the vital components of the motorcycle.
The engine is a water-cooled 4-stroke DOC 4-valve single cylinder 398cc, which delivers class-leading power and performance with a maximum output of 29.4kW (40PS) / 8000rpm and a maximum torque of 37.5Nm / 6500rpm. Bosch engine management and ride-by-wire throttle provide intuitive throttle response and controllable power delivery, improving ride comfort, safety and controllability. In addition, a 6-speed gearbox with torque assist clutch and stainless steel twin silencers provide a responsive ride.
The suspension is equipped with high-quality suspension with 43mm big piston inverted front forks and a rear piggyback mono shock with 150mm travel. This provides a smooth ride on various terrains, and switchable traction control and off-road-specific ABS mode provide safety and versatility on any road surface. The brakes feature 4-piston radial brake calipers, large 320mm front discs and optimized pad compounds, providing powerful and progressive braking performance with confidence in all conditions. Tubeless dual-purpose tires, switchable traction control and a dedicated off-road ABS mode provide stable riding performance on any road surface.
The dual-format display in the cockpit features a large analog speedometer and an integrated LCD screen including a digital tachometer, fuel gauge and highly visible gear indicator, all of which can be operated with a scroll button mounted on the handlebar. A USB-C socket is also standard, allowing you to charge devices such as smartphones on the move.
The SCRAMBLER 400 XC will be available in three colors: Racing Yellow, Storm Gray and Vanilla White. Prices range from $6487.51 to $6576.38 (tax included) and are scheduled to go on sale at authorized dealers nationwide from September 2025.
