BMW Motorrad has announced the "GS Rally Carbon," a helmet with a sun visor for GS models, and the dedicated communication system "BMW ConnectedRide COM P1 GS" in its home country of Germany.
The sporty off-road look is equipped with the latest safety technology and communication technology optimized for motorcycle riding.
The new helmet, "GS Rally Carbon," designed to match BMW GS models, is a premium model that combines a sporty off-road look with numerous safety features.
The helmet shell is made of M-Forge™ carbon, a combination of carbon and aramid fibers. It is extremely lightweight yet provides excellent shock absorption, providing the rider with the highest level of safety. The helmet shell is available in two sizes, so you can choose the size that suits you.
The multi-directional impact protection system (MIPS Integra TX®) effectively reduces rotational motion to the head during impact. In the event of an accident, the "Pull Rescue System" allows rescuers to remove the cheek pads without removing the helmet, enhancing safety.
Comfort is also a priority, and the interior is made of high-quality materials. The top ventilation with insect net and the chin ventilation with dust filter provide efficient ventilation. When driving off-road or on a hot day, the removable flap can be removed to allow even more air in. Other practical features include a removable helmet shield with side fixing and self-locking mechanism and a steplessly adjustable sun visor.
The visor is equipped with a quick release mechanism, making it quick and easy to change. It also features a visor position specifically designed for urban driving. The visor comes with a standard anti-fog inner lens "Pinlock 120®" and is available in a variety of optional colors, including orange, blue mirror, silver mirror and smoke. All visors also have an anti-scratch coating.
"COM P1 GS" is a communication system that is fully integrated with the helmet.
The GS Rally Carbon can be equipped with the innovative communications system BMW ConnectedRide COM P1 GS to further enrich the riding experience.
This communication system is designed to be perfectly integrated into the GS helmet series, giving it a smart appearance without the feeling of being added on later. Operation is performed with the multi-controller on the handlebars, so the rider can safely and intuitively control all functions without taking their hands off the handlebars.
The battery and main unit are under the cover at the rear of the helmet, and the two antennas are hidden inside the helmet shell, achieving both design and protection. This system truly meets the needs of GS riders who want robustness, intuitive operability, and seamless integration with connectivity functions.
The communication standard is "Mesh 2.0" with optimized noise suppression and second-generation HD speakers, enabling clear, high-quality voice calls and music playback.
The timing of its introduction in Japan has not yet been decided.
