Enjoy customizing your motorcycle while enjoying the motorcycle life!
This motorcycle has risen from provisional third place to first place. It is based on the GC-017 aluminum frame made by G-Craft, and the tank is also made of aluminum made by SP Takegawa. The engine, which was covered by a full cowl and almost invisible at the Enjoy 4 Mini exhibition, is enshrined in the Desmo Head, the highest-end product made by Takegawa. When we asked the owner, Nakane Shokai, about the reason for the win, he said, "I guess the Honda-like coloring of the NSR series struck a chord with everyone." The distinctive cowl is a one-off by Eiken, which has produced many famous vehicles active in various places, and the face has been finished with slanted eyes reminiscent of the BMW S1000RR.
The body, including the seat cowl, has a very speedy feel. The voluminous suspension, including the front fender hammered out of aluminum, is by Private Power. With 8-inch wheels, double discs and double calipers, it is almost invisible, but the front 6.0J and rear 7.0J one-off wheels have a five-spoke design that is the same as the hydraulic clutch release cover.
Since there are few motorcycles based on the Monkey that have been made into a super sports motorcycle, this likely garnered many votes from readers.
HONDA MONKEY CUSTOM
The garnish on the front of the face and separate parts attached to the sides of the cowl give the design more than just a full cowl.
The tank is made of Takegawa aluminum because "I wanted height." When using a 30mm long frame, there is a big gap between the stem and the tank, so I modified the mount inside the tank tunnel with 140 power. This moved the tank position forward.
Both the wheels and disc rotors are one-offs made by Private Power. The KSR's inverted forks have a machined bottom case with an integrated caliper support, allowing the Shift Up caliper to be attached as is. Of course, the forks have been shortened, and the brakes have been converted to double discs!
It was decided from the start that a Takegawa Desmo head would be fitted to the engine, so the GC-017 frame, which is 30mm longer than standard, was chosen to avoid interference with the tires.
By installing a G-Craft subframe, the gap between the cowl and the frame due to the extremely wide stem is filled in.
The front and rear suspension are fully powered by private power. The rear brake has a double caliper.
The transmission is a 124cc Takegawa S Touring. The carburetor is a FCRe28 downdraft. It took about a year and a half to make, and was completed just a few weeks before the Enjoy 4 Mini.
The OVER TT Formula full titanium exhaust system is installed without any modification. The rear shock is a shortened version of an Ohlins shock absorber. It's clear that they had fun building it!
