Yamaha Motor Co. will launch the new 2025 XMAX 300 and XMAX 125 models for Europe. The new models are emission regulation compliant and the higher-end Techmax models each feature a single 4.2-inch TFT monitor, navigation system-linked functions, and a new electric screen.
MAX series middle child with 4 variations in Europe
The “XMAX” covers the middle range of Yamaha's “MAX series” of sports scooters: 125cc, 250cc, and 300cc. It is sold overseas in two classes, 125 and 300, and the 250 model introduced in Japan is the sibling of the 300 model. This XMAX underwent minor changes for the 2025 model year and was released in Europe first. In addition to meeting the latest EURO5+ emission regulations, the XMAX has been updated with various equipment.

The new XMAX appeared with the XMAX 300 (2025: overseas) 125; the 250cc model will be introduced in Japan.

It is newly EURO5+ compliant, but basically retains the same specifications as before.
The last time the XMAX underwent a model change was in 2023, when it was modernized with distinctive “X”-shaped headlights, full LED lighting, and dual-monitor gauges. The new XMAX shares the same basic styling as the previous version, but the “Techmax” model, which comes equipped with high-end features, has a new cockpit area. The instrument panel is now a single 4.3-inch full-color TFT LCD, and a Garmin on-board navigation system is available. In addition, an electrically adjustable screen enhances cruising comfort.
Color variations are the same for both the 300 and 125, with the standard model available in Icon Black and Tech Camo, and the Techmax model available in Ceramic Gray and Dark Magma, for a total of four color choices. Prices in the UK is about $7782.53 for the 300 Standard and about $8811.62 for the Techmax, and about $6689.11 and about $7460.93 for the 125 respectively.
Both the XMAX 300 and 125 have not yet been introduced in Japan, so it is currently unclear whether these new features will be adopted for the XMAX sold in Japan. We look forward to further news on the Japanese version.

The 4.3-inch 0TFT monitor used in Techmax can now also display a Garmin navigation system.

In addition, Techmax also has an electrically operated screen, which can be freely operated while riding.

The exterior appearance, including the distinctive “X”-shaped headlights, largely follows that of the previous model.

Functionality is the same as before, including a large-capacity luggage compartment that can hold two full-face helmets.
