Honda will release the 2025 model of its large sports tourer "NT1100." The new features that were announced in advance in Europe will also be introduced in Japan. It has received major updates from appearance to performance, including headlights with built-in turn signals, a redesigned fairing, the adoption of a 6-axis IMU, and the installation of electronic suspension.

It will be released on Thursday, January 23, 2025. In Japan, only the DCT model will be available, priced at $11983.85.

It has a streamlined body and improved driving performance! The price has increased by 8.65 from the previous model.

The big touring motorcycle NT1100 has been on sale in Japan since 2022. Based on the water-cooled in-line twin-cylinder engine and frame of the CRF1100L Africa Twin, this model has improved on-road high-speed and long-distance touring performance with 17-inch wheels front and rear and a large fairing.

The new NT1100 has undergone its first major model change since its debut. DCT specifications will be introduced in Japan.

The 2025 model being released this time has undergone the same model change as the European model announced at the Milan Show (EICMA) held in November. The major change in appearance is that the headlight design has been significantly revised and daytime running lights (DRL) have been newly adopted. The DRL has a built-in turn signal, and instead, the turn signal, which was previously a separate part, has been removed. In addition to this, the exterior design of the side covers and tail covers has been smoothly revised, and the screen has been enlarged. It has a modern, smart front mask and a fairing with excellent aerodynamics.

In addition to changing the size of the screen, it has been improved so that the height can be adjusted with one hand. Previously, it was necessary to operate it with both hands, but this small improvement has eliminated the hassle of stop-and-go.

The adoption of DRLs and integrated turn signals have significantly changed the impression of the front mask.

The fairing and side cover designs have also been revised.

Functionality has also been greatly enhanced. A new 6-axis IMU has been installed, and the precise Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) has improved stability. Safety has also been improved. In addition, Hitachi Astemo's "EERA" electronically controlled suspension has been newly installed on both the front and rear. In cooperation with the IMU, it is possible to instantly achieve optimal damping force according to the road conditions, and main synchronization is also possible with a switch. Preload adjustment while driving is also possible.

The performance of the power unit is the same as before, with a maximum output of 102PS/7500rpm and a maximum torque of 111Nm/5500rpm, but the characteristics have been revised to achieve a 7% increase in torque at low and medium speeds compared to the previous model. In addition, the adoption of a lightweight lithium-ion battery has reduced the weight, and despite the increased functionality, the vehicle weight is only 1.0kg heavier than the previous model, at 249kg.

The torque characteristics of the engine have been revised, making it easier to control at low speeds.

The color variations have been completely renewed, with the previous red and gray being discontinued. Two new colors will be available: a metallic "matte warm ash metallic" and a gloss black "gunmetal black metallic." As before, the only body specification will be DCT. It will go on sale in Japan on Thursday, January 23, 2025. The price will be $11983.85, up $998.65 from the previous $10985.20.
