It was in 1964 that Kawasaki began full-scale motorcycle development and entered the United States. It was later that Kawasaki entered Europe in earnest, with Kawasaki Germany being established in 1975. In the early days of its expansion, Kawasaki was competing with prestigious European manufacturers such as BSA, Norton, and BMW, but Kawasaki steadily increased its European fans with original and high-powered machines such as the "500SS MACHIII". The first unveiling of the "Z1300", which attracted worldwide attention with its in-line 6-cylinder engine, was also held in Germany.
Kawasaki Germany, which still has many fans, announced a special vehicle based on the "Z900RS", which is also very popular in Japan, at Intermot to commemorate its 50th anniversary in 2025. The vehicle is based on the 2024 model Z900RS SE, and is equipped with Ohlins front and rear suspension, Brembo monoblock M4.32 brake calipers, and 300mm discs. The reinforced suspension gives the motorcycle a sporty riding feel.
The Z900RS SE Germany 50th Anniversary Model (2025) will be released by Kawasaki Germany at Intermot in a limited run of 150 units.
It is based on the matte black fireball color that is also sold in Japan.
The SE already has gold wheels and forks, but the details are also studded with gold.
In addition to the standard SE equipment, the limited edition model is equipped with accent parts that enhance the German-style black and gold coloring. It is equipped with gold anodized aluminum heel guards, handlebar end weights, and radiator side panels, as well as commemorative numbering engraved on the side covers and handlebar bridge, and the tank is equipped with an emblem tank top that reads "50 Years of Kawasaki Germany." The seat is also special, with a diamond pattern with gold stitching on the seat surface, giving it a different sense of luxury than the standard model.
This Z900RS SE will be sold in a limited run of 150 units, and reservations are currently being accepted at Kawasaki Germany (number requests are also possible on a first-come, first-served basis). The price is $16348.74, which is about $653.95 more than the regular SE. Customers will also receive accessories such as a numbered certificate, an anniversary book, and a limited edition 50th anniversary framed box.
The emblem is engraved with the limited edition markings and features the German flag.
