Italian Italjet announced the new sports scooter "DRAGSTAR 700 TWIN" at the Milan Show 2024 (EICMA). It is a super sports scooter with equipment and performance that transcends the realm of scooters, and is a larger version of the 599cc model that was released last year.

However, this time, the release date has finally been decided as the Drag Star 700 Twin, which has an even larger displacement. The full specifications have been released along with a full range of equipment. It will be released in Europe in the summer of 2025, with a price of $15868.53. Currently, only the limited edition with a serial number, limited to 700 units, will be accepted.
The Drag Star 125/200/300 are also imported to Japan, where their aggressive styling and performance have attracted attention, but the 700cc twin manual model is of interest to people other than scooter fans. There are also shops that accept imports, so you may have a chance to see it in Japan.
Dragstar 700 Twin (2025) is the finally released large engine displacement model of Italjet.
It is equipped with a 698cc in-line twin-cylinder engine and a chain drive 6-speed transmission, which are unusual specs for a scooter.
However, with its 15-inch wheel size and engine located under the seat, it fits the definition of a scooter.
It is based on the Drag Star 599 Twin announced last year.

As mentioned above, the Drag Star 700 Twin is equipped and has the performance of a sports bike. The engine is a 698cc water-cooled parallel twin-cylinder made by QJMotor, with a maximum output of 68.9 PS and a maximum torque of 70 Nm, and the transmission is 6-speed. The clutch cover is equipped with a transparent window made by Ducabike. It has a unique style with the cylinder head directly under the seat, and the area where the footboard is usually located is fully covered, with the air cleaner and radiator laid out. In addition, the exhaust system is made by Akrapovic with two exhaust pipes, creating a rear view that is unlike that of a scooter.
The wheels are 15 inches front and rear. The front shock is not the hub steer that was characteristic of its sibling model, but an inverted fork made by Marzocchi. The rear suspension is equipped with a monoshock made by Ohlins. The brake system is a radial-mounted Brembo double disc, which suggests high maneuverability. The drive is a chain, and the meter is a TFT LCD. It is a special model equipped with the latest equipment.
The impressive front mask is scooter-like, but the equipment details look like those of the latest SS.
The engine is a 6-speed manual and the clutch cover is equipped with a clear part.
The front forks are inverted and made by Marzocchi, which is a common style.
