AGLLABO, which sells original parts, is currently developing a new exterior kit for the Monkey 125. It's an item that can recreate the 90's "Monkey Africa" style!
A rare item released for Monkey BAJA is revived in modern times.
The "Monkey 50", which was on sale until 2017, was a model that even amateurs could enjoy customizing in various ways thanks to its compact body and simple structure. Even though it is out of production, various parts are still available from various companies as a major category of "4 mini custom".
However, the Monkey 50 also had a lineup of official custom-like models released by the manufacturer itself. These were the on-road racer style "Monkey R" that appeared in 1987 and the off-road machine style "Monkey Baja" that was released in 1991.
Both were on sale for about two years, and are now traded at premium prices as rare and enthusiastic models. One of these models, the Monkey Baja, also had an exterior kit that further customized its funny appearance. At the time, Honda had won the "Paris-Dakar Rally" four times in a row, and Japan was also paying attention to this world's toughest rally. Honda Access was selling the "Monkey Africa Exterior Kit", which was a deformed version of Honda's entry machine, the "NXR750", that could be attached to the Monkey Baja.
This kit retains the dual headlights and meter visor of the Monkey BAJA, but expresses the huge rally raid main tank and sub-tank on the side of the seat. Since it is merely a cover, the tank capacity does not increase, but it is a fun kit that turns the pop Monkey into a tough Paris-Dakar specification.

Monkey BAJA (1991) This model is a playful rally raid of the Monkey 50.

At the time, Honda was doing well, winning consecutive victories in the Paris-Dakar Rally. The number of rally fans in Japan was also on the rise.
The Monkey Africa exterior kit is not widely available, and is now a very rare item that is rarely seen. This has made it difficult to recreate the Monkey Africa, but AGL Lab in Saitama Prefecture has reproduced the kit. They have succeeded in restoring the original appearance, making it possible to install it on the Monkey Baja and Monkey 50.

Make the "Monkey Africa 125" a reality!
So the next thing AGL Lab thought about was, can this cover be fitted to the current "Monkey 125" as well? AGL Lab is currently in the process of developing the "Monkey Africa 125" to make it a reality. To start with, they have now completed a kit that reproduces the Monkey 125's distinctive dual headlights. Sales will begin soon.
This headlight kit comes with a special meter visor, headlight guard, various harnesses and brackets, and the lens is made from the headlight case for the Zoomer. The price is expected to be set at under 40,000 yen, and this alone will make it a fun item that will completely change the image of the motorcycle.

As of November 2024, the dual headlight kit has been completed. This will be released soon.

The kit includes a visor, guard, meter bracket, etc. The lens is from a Zoomer.
The big style change of the Monkey 125 with the cover is the "F-Mon" model, which reproduces the style of the CB750F and was released this year by TTR Motors, also from Saitama Prefecture, and has just attracted a lot of attention from classic motorcycle fans. If this "Monkey Africa 125" is realized, it will have a unique style that is sure to attract attention not only from fans of the past, but also on the streets. We look forward to further development news!

"F-Mon", which turns the Monkey 125 into an F, has attracted a lot of attention from classic motorcycle fans and is now on sale.
