HONDA announced the 2025 model of the mid-size scrambler "CL500" at the Milan Show 2024. The style remains the same as before, but it complies with the latest EURO5+ exhaust gas regulations and details such as the steps and meters have been updated for ease of use. It is scheduled to be introduced in Japan along with the "CL250".
Even after complying with exhaust gas regulations, power has increased slightly! The footpegs have been made smaller and moved forward.
The CL500 is a model that uses the basic components of the popular mid-range cruiser "Rebel 500" with an off-road-like finish. In Japan, the 250cc "CL250" has been added, which shares the frame but has a reduced displacement, and has been on sale since 2023 as an easy-to-handle mid-range scrambler.
The new 2025 model of the CL500 was announced at the Milan Show 2024. First of all, the engine complies with the latest exhaust gas regulations EURO5+, while the engine specifications have been slightly upgraded. The maximum output is 34.3kW (46.6PS) and the maximum torque is 43.4Nm (4.42kgf-m). The agile power performance has been maintained. The size of the body remains the same, but the layout of the seat and footrests has been changed. The footrests have been made smaller and lifted forward, so they are in a position that does not get in the way when putting your feet on the ground. The new LCD meter has been improved to improve visibility.
New color variations in Europe include "Pearl Dusk Yellow" and "Matte Fresco Brown". It will be available in four colors, including the two existing colors "Matte Laurel Green Metallic" and "Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic." Information on the release in Japan has not been announced, but Honda has stated that the new CL500 will be "introduced together with the CL250," so there is no doubt that the CL250 will also be released in Japan after undergoing similar modifications.

CL500 [2025] The new CL was announced overseas. The CL250 is also scheduled to be released in Japan with the same specifications.

The basic style remains the same as before, but it has been improved to comply with exhaust gas regulations and has improved equipment.

The new CL500's footpegs have been refined and slimmed down, and are now positioned forward, so they don't get in the way of your feet reaching the ground.

Honda's Scrambler "CL" will be back in 2023, with the Rebel's ease of handling as its charm
The CL500, released in 2023, is equipped with a 471cc DOHC water-cooled two-cylinder engine. Both the engine and frame are shared with the Cruiser Rebel 500 on which it is based, but a dedicated ECU is used to pursue torqueful driving performance. The style has a small tank and up-muffler, adding an off-road taste that is typical of a scrambler. The wheels are 19 inches in the front and 17 inches in the rear, with an emphasis on driving performance. In addition, an assist and slipper clutch is standard equipment, aiming for easy operation for the rider.
The simple look has attracted attention as a custom base, and Honda also offers dress-up parts such as up-type fenders, meter visors, and number plates as genuine accessories, and this will not change with the new 2025 model. It is evaluated as a unique and easy-to-handle machine that allows you to feel the taste of a vintage off-roader in the current model.

Based on the Rebel, the CL is praised for its versatile usability thanks to its large wheels and high-riding style.

It is also attractive as a base for customization. In Europe, up fenders and other parts will be released this year as well.

It is also possible to give it a flat tracker look with genuine accessories.
