The Panigale V2, the second brother of Ducati's pure sport Panigale series, has undergone a full change. 890cc 90-degree V-twin is new, with the lightest weight ever achieved in the Panigale's history. The entire body has evolved, including variable valve timing, a double-sided swingarm, and a new design that takes over from the V4. Its sibling, the Streetfighter V2, was similarly modified.

Finally, the engine is designed exclusively for the company, and the design gains the image of a big brother.

Ducati has offered a lineup of large-displacement models and their small-displacement versions in its top-of-the-line "Superbike" series. Currently, the Panigale V4 with a V4 1103 cc and the Panigale V2 with a 90-degree V2 (L-twin) 955 cc are available.

Including the previous Panigale V2, the second brother of the previous superbike series was based on the L-twin engine of the top model. The engine was therefore large and heavy, but for the 2025 model year, the engine was designed specifically for the younger sibling for the first time. The engine was designed exclusively for the 2025 model year, and the total weight of the car was reduced by 17 kg, not to mention the weight of the heart of the car. In addition, the chassis and exterior were completely redesigned.

The 2025 Panigale V2 (Ducati), unveiled for the first time in the world on November 6, 2024, has been completely redesigned, including the V2 engine and frame. The STD weighs 179 kg without fuel, and the S with advanced suspension weighs 176 kg.

The design inherits the lineage of the 2025 Panigale V4, which had been announced earlier, but gives it a unique twist. The horizontal dynamic and compact frontal area emphasize the compactness of the new V2 engine.

The surface configuration of the newly designed cowl is complex and voluminous. The conventional model had a short muffler with a single right-hand exit, but the new model has a 2-in-1-in-2 with a racy tail exit.

The full-LED headlights have been changed to two long, slanted eyes reminiscent of the new Panigale V4. The suspended daylights are now positioned almost horizontally.

The seat cowl is an aero type, similar to that of a MotoGP machine. The seat and tail are designed to be highly integrated.

The LED taillight is a traditional two-light system. The tank has the same ergonomic design as the Panigale V4.

The new model also improves comfort against heat. Fresh running air is directed to the rider's legs through the upper cowl, and heat from the radiator is discharged through ducts in the side cowls.

V-twin is 9 kg lighter and more compact. Variable valve timing was also introduced.

Designed completely from the ground up, the V-twin is the lightest twin engine in the company's history, weighing only 54.4 kg, up to 9 kg lighter than the conventional Superquadro engine and approximately 5 kg lighter than the V-twin (Testastretta Evoluzione and Desmodue) mounted on the Scrambler..8 kg light.

Displacement is down from the previous 955cc to 890cc. Bore x stroke is 100 x 60.8mm to 96 x 61.The intake and exhaust valves are newly developed spring-loaded valves instead of the Desmodromic valve opening and closing mechanism. The intake and exhaust valves use a newly developed spring-loaded valve opening/closing mechanism, rather than the company's signature forced opening/closing mechanism (desmodromic). The intake side also features "IVT," a variable valve timing system that delivers both torquey low rpm and high rpm power. Ducati's first hollow titanium valves are also a topic of interest.

Maximum output is 120 PS, 35 PS down from the previous model, but the new model outperforms it on the circuit (see below for details). The new model has 6PS & 0.5PS when fitted with Termignoni race tubes with titanium silencers and carbon end caps..5 kg-m up and 4.Can reduce weight by 5 kg.

The 90-degree liquid-cooled V-twin has been increased from 955 to 890 cc and produces 120 PS. A spring-loaded valve opening/closing mechanism has made the cylinder head more compact. Of course, it complies with Euro 5+ emission regulations.

Only 54.The 4 kg engine produces 70% of its maximum torque at 3000 rpm. The cylinder is integrated with the head, and the head is directly connected to the crankcase.

A water jacket is placed around the cylinder liner, eliminating the conventional oil cooler. This contributes to weight reduction.

Intake Variable Valve Timing (IVT) is newly adopted. An actuator installed at the end of the camshaft controls the intake valve and changes the timing within a range of 52 degrees.

DLC-coated finger follower rocker arms and the company's first hollow titanium valves were also introduced.

The car body features a double-sided hollow swing arm.

The frame is an aluminum monocoque structure that also functions as an airbox as before, but has been redesigned to accommodate the new engine. The swing arm is now double-sided, as opposed to the previous single-sided design. Like the Panigale V4, the swinging arm is a large, hollowed-out type, but it is specially designed for this purpose.

The standard version has a fully adjustable 43mm diameter Marzocchi inverted suspension at the front and a Kayaba at the rear, while the S version gets 43mm diameter Ohlins NIX30 forks and Ohlins rear shocks. Both front brake calipers are monoblock Brembo M50s.

The cast aluminum wheels are also new, featuring unique six Y-spokes. Standard tires are Pirelli Diablo Rosso 4. The rear 190mm wheels are the same size as those used on Supersport World Championship machines./60 slick tires can also be installed.

The swing arms are double-sided. Like the Panigale V4, they are symmetrical, hollow-type, and made of low-pressure cast aluminum. The stability and freedom of line when exiting corners have been improved.

Brake calipers are Brembo M50; conventional M4.It is 140g lighter than 32 and responds well.

The left photo shows the S and the right shows the STD; the S has gold outer tubes on the F forks and the STD is black. The rear springs are also yellow on the STD.

The gauges have been enlarged to 5 inches, and a wealth of electronic controls are still in place.

In terms of equipment, a new 5-inch TFT meter is adopted. The conventional 4.It is larger than 3 inches and has three display modes to choose from: Road, Road Pro, and Track.

The electric brain is originally well equipped, with a 6-axis IMU, 8-level adjustable TRACON, cornering ABS, wheelie control, engine brake control, and quick shift 2..0, pit limiter, and more. Riding modes can be selected from Race, Sport, Road, and Wet.

The meter has been enlarged to 5 inches and warning lights have been integrated. The display mode allows the user to select the screen that best suits the situation.

Improved Lipositon and power reduction is 0 compared to the previous model..2 seconds faster!

The ride position has also been revised to a more ergonomic setting. The triangle created by the handle, seat, and step aims to combine comfort, versatility, and control without limiting the performance of the truck.

Forged aluminum handlebars are set slightly higher. A lower semi-handlebar is available as an option. The base of the step is forged aluminum and positioned to minimize knee fatigue.

The model changes introduced so far have improved circuit times over the previous model. Ducati test rider Davide Stirpe compared the new model with the previous model at the Vallelunga circuit in Italy, and found that the new model was 0.He recorded a lap time 2 seconds faster. He proved his speed in every situation except the straights.

The steering wheel is higher & farther forward than before, a position that alleviates wrist fatigue. The step is also not extremely back, and there seems to be slightly more room for the knees to bend. The seat height is 837mm, which is said to be designed to allow the driver's feet to reach the ground easily.

Lap time is 0.0PS while 35PS down compared to the conventional model..Shaved 2 seconds off. He showed speed in braking, corner entry, turning, and exiting.

Cowl-less Street Fighter V2 also evolved

The "Streetfighter V2," a cowl-less version of the Panigale V2, also received a model change at the same time. The changes are the same as for the Panigale V2, with a choice of STD with Marzocchi F forks and Kayaba rear shocks, or S with Ohlins front and rear suspension.

The weight of the car has been successfully reduced by 18 kg, with the STD weighing 178 kg and the S version 175 kg (both excluding fuel).

In Europe, the Panigale V2 is expected to arrive in early 2025 and the Streetfighter V2 around March of the same year.

2025 Streetfighter V2/S (Ducati photo: S). Based on the Panigale V2, the cowl was removed to give it bar handlebars and its own face. The caster angle is 23° of the Panigale V2..6 degrees vs. 24.1 degree. The distance between axes is 28 mm longer.

Most of the basic components are the same as the new Panigale V2, but the headlights, shrouds, and other exterior features are specially designed. The car weighs 1 kg less.

The badass-looking daylight is still present on the new model. The previous model had a single V-shaped line, but the new model has a split line.
