Transalp has a new look with new headlight designs
The current XL750 Transalp, which debuted in 2023, is a mid-size adventure motorcycle equipped with a 755cc SOHC 4-valve parallel twin-cylinder engine. The 2025 model announced this time features a new face design with dual LED projector headlights influenced by the design of the Africa Twin and a newly designed screen.
The XL750 Transalp is a full-fledged adventure motorcycle that can also handle off-road riding.
The Transalp was exhibited at the EICMA venue. It was dressed in a color scheme not available in the lineup.
The main color with tricolor graphics is "Ross White."
"Pearl Deep Mud Gray" features striking yellow lines.
"Graphite Black" has red accents for a sharp look.
The front view gives the impression of high wind protection, while the rear view gives the impression of slimness.
The dual LED projector headlights are designed to inherit the Africa Twin design.
The windscreen, made of the sustainable and highly transparent Durabio material, has a new design.
There are no major changes to the frame or engine, and the parallel twin-cylinder engine mounted in a lightweight steel diamond frame produces a maximum output of 67.5kW/9500rpm and a maximum torque of 75Nm/7250rpm. The throttle-by-wire allows you to select a riding mode that combines engine power, engine brake, ABS, and HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control) with integrated wheelie control. In addition to the four modes of Sport, Standard, Rain, and Gravel, there is also a User mode that allows you to set each setting as you like.
The engine is a 755cc SOHC 4-valve engine that produces a maximum output of 67.5kW/9500rpm and a maximum torque of 75N・m/7250rpm.
The large right-side exhaust silencer creates a pulsating feeling that is characteristic of a twin.
The suspension is equipped with SHOWA 43mm SFF-CATM (Separate Function Fork Cartridge) USD forks at the front and a separate reservoir-type Showa shock (with preload adjustment mechanism) at the rear. Improved compression/rebound damping improves control on uneven ground and when fully loaded with a passenger and luggage.
The wheels are spoke type with aluminum rims and a gold anodized finish.
The rear shock is made by SHOWA with a preload adjustment mechanism, and the reservoir tank is separate.
The new 5-inch full-color TFT screen has reduced reflections and improved backlight transmittance by sealing the gap between the cover glass and the TFT screen with plastic. The display can be customized to your preference with three styles (bar, circle, and simple) and a high-contrast black background. iOS/Android smartphone connectivity via the Honda RoadSync app is still available. Along with the backlit 4-way toggle switch on the left handlebar, you can easily perform on-screen turn-by-turn navigation, as well as listen to music via a Bluetooth helmet headset.

The 755cc engine has a compact and lightweight 8-valve Unicam cylinder head, producing 67.5kW power at 9500 rpm and 75Nm torque at 7250 rpm. The bore and stroke are set to 87 x 63.5 mm, and the compression ratio is 11.0:1. The HSTC with engine power, engine brake, and integrated wheelie control has three levels and can be turned off. In addition to the default Rain, Standard, and Sport riding modes that combine each parameter, there is also a User mode that allows the rider to combine three settings of each parameter.

The suspension is a Showa 41mm SFF-BP USD fork in the front and a ProLink with a 7-stage adjustable rear shock in the rear, with new settings to improve front-end feeling. The brakes are Nissin radial mount 4-pot calipers + 296mm wave discs in the front and single pot calipers + 240mm discs in the rear.

With its high riding performance intact, the new Hornet has become a more evolved sports motorcycle with a more aggressive design and refined parts. This 2025 version of the Hornet is scheduled to be introduced in the Japanese market, and is sure to bring a breath of fresh air to the Japanese sports motorcycle market.
