The big Suzuki name "KATANA", which was revived at the 2018 Intermot, is undergoing major changes in 2022. The 2025 model of the KATANA will feature a new color, "Pearl Vigor Blue", which was revealed as a surprise at the "KATANA Meeting 2024".

The current KATANA is based on the previous GSX-S1000 body and is equipped with a modern bodywork that makes it immediately recognizable as a KATNA family member. Major improvements were made in 2022, and it now has an electronically controlled throttle and is equipped with the electronic control system S.I.R.S. (Suzuki Intelligent Ride System).
The 2025 model KATANA will only have a color change, and the price will increase by $335.21.
By adopting an electronically controlled throttle system and changing the intake and exhaust mechanism, the maximum output has been increased from 148PS/10,000rpm to 150PS/11,000rpm while complying with the domestic emission regulations for 2020 (Reiwa 2). The newly installed S.I.R.S. has evolved to make riding more comfortable by adopting SDMS (Suzuki Drive Mode Selector) that allows you to select output characteristics from three modes, STCS (Suzuki Traction Control System) that can be selected from five stages, a bidirectional quick shift system that allows you to shift up/down without operating the clutch lever, and a low RPM assist function that suppresses the drop in engine speed at the start.
In addition, the Suzuki Assist Clutch System is installed, which strengthens the clutch clamping force as an assist function during acceleration and reduces back torque with a slipper function during downshifting. The Suzuki Easy Start System is also adopted, which rotates the starter motor to start the engine with just one push of the starter switch.
The 2025 model will be available in two colors, with the image color "Mystic Silver Metallic" being carried over, and a new blue color "Pearl Vigor Blue" being added to the lineup. The price will be changed from the current $9788.06 (excluding tax) to $10123.27 (excluding tax), and will be released on October 29, 2024.
