HONDA CBR600RR (PC40 07 Model) When I was looking for a used 600SS, I found and bought one within my budget. The mileage was 13,000 km at the time of purchase and the condition was not so good, but it was cheap and I thought it would not be a problem if it was mainly for touring! The other day, the mileage reached 45,000 km!

A brief description of this HACK
The muffler guards on the PC40 CBR600RR pre-mid model are silver, but this silver color is too assertive and makes the rear lines look wild.
This part is black from the beginning in some of the mid-term models, and by replacing it with the part used in that model, the line of the rear cowl becomes clearer, and the impression of the buttocks becomes clearer.

1. Replacement parts

The price at the time was $1,365 per side.
2. Thin Ratchet The screws holding the guard in place are on the back side, but the clearance between the muffler and the guard is tight, so a thin ratchet would be nice to have...
How to do the HACK, explanation, work instructions, etc.
Just remove and replace the two screws holding the guard in place.
Just be careful not to lose any screws!
