YAMAHA Motor Co., Ltd. has announced the new "TMAX560 TECH MAX ABS" and "TMAX560 ABS" automatic sports models featuring a newly designed 561cm3, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4-valve engine that was released on May 8, 2020.
The TMAX560 TECH MAX ABS and TMAX560 ABS were developed under the concept of "Sophisticated MAX" as successor models to the automatic sports motorcycle TMAX530 series. Both sporty and low-vibration high-quality riding are compatible in compliance with environmental regulations. Furthermore, the exterior has been modified to improve its design and comfort.

Main Features
Newly designed 561cm3 engine for a sporty, high-quality ride
Based on the previous TMAX530 engine, the engine displacement has been increased to 561cm3 while maintaining the engine size. The intake/exhaust system and dynamic valve system have been reviewed to improve the acceleration characteristics from mid to high rev range by increasing the volume efficiency, resulting in a powerful riding performance with a sufficient margin on the highway. Moreover, the deceleration characteristics have redesigned to maintain the starting acceleration while keeping engine speed low during steady riding and reducing vibration and noise, resulting in a powerful, high-quality ride.
Excellent environmental performance in compliance with new emission regulations
The catalyst has been changed from a conventional single type to a twin type to improve the purification performance of the exhaust gas. In addition, these synergistic effects such as the optimal design of the intake and exhaust system and combustion chamber, the improvement of the air-fuel mixture formation by the new YCC-T, and the adoption of a new ECU that complies with the 2020 emission regulations and OBD II (failure diagnosis device), have resulted in excellent environmental performance.
Optimized front and rear suspension settings for improved comfort
The front has adopted an inverted suspension with a 41mm diameter inner tube. The spring constant and damping force characteristics have been optimized to achieve excellent road surface followability and straightforward handling characteristics. As for the rear, it uses optimized link type monochrome suspension. In accordance with the expansion and contraction of the shock unit, the damping force is set to be soft when the load is low and hard when the load is high, contributing to comfortable sports riding.
A new sporty and high-quality design with a refined personality
The new design of the tail and stop lamps, inspired by the "T" motif, gives the car a sharp and iconic rear view. A new compact LED flasher has been adopted for the front.
