The PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) announced the ADV150 Street Explorer Scooter to meet the needs of people using motorcycles in a variety of road conditions, such as paved roads and unpaved roads.
The Adventure Style, Futuristic Scooter
The big adventure X-ADV, which is popular in Europe, offers high-dimensional riding performance regardless of the on-road and off-road by DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission), inverted front forks, and multi-functional speedometer. The ADV150 was developed as a small scooter version.
AHM (Astra Honda Motor) of Indonesia recently announced the launched of ADV150 where similar 150cc class scooters such as PCX and N-MAX are popular for commuting, daily use and even as a hobby. However, there are many riders who demand dual-purpose performance for a scooter because there are still undeveloped roads in some urban and suburban areas. Probably, HONDA took notice of the concept of the big adventure X-ADV, and the motorcycle that combined that concept with the popular 150cc scooter in the area seems to be the ADV150.
It has been adopted the 150cc eSP (enhanced Smart Power) engine mounted on the PCX150, and it runs up to 373km of travel distance by 8 liters of fuel tank capacity with fuel consumption 46.6km/liter.
Rear twin shock absorbers with a sub-tank, tapered handlebar, semi dual-purpose tire 110/80-14 (front) and 130/70-13 (rear) contribute comfort handling and stability in cornering and on the bumpy roads.
It has a 240mm wave disk brake on the front and a 220mm disk brake on the rear giving stability and adding a more sporty appearance.
There are two models of ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and CBS (Combi Brake System), which provides a sense of security on braking and comfort in riding.
The LED have been used on headlights and features the latest Daytime Running Light (DRL) system. LED is also used for taillight and blinker, which makes the scooter look more futuristic.
It equipped with a wide and impressive two-step adjustable windscreen, and a full digital panel meter system displays various information including the speed, clock, date, trip meter, battery indicator, outside temperature indicator, average fuel consumption, instantaneous fuel consumption, and oil change indicator.
The prices are Rp 36.5 million for ABS-ISS (Approximately 2,646.40 USD) and Rp 33.5 million for CBS-ISS (Approximately 2,430.49 USD).
Considering the equipment, the price, and the popularity of the X-ADV, the ADV150 will definitely be a big hit if released worldwide.
