It has been officially announced that the new CB1000 Hornet will be released in Japan on January 23rd, along with the SP. There is more to come, and it is rumored that there will also be a neo-classic version.
A successor to the CB1300SF Final Edition?
The reorganization of the "CB" series is likely to progress in 2025. The CB1300 Super Four, which has a history of more than 30 years since its introduction, is currently not accepting orders, but the final edition is expected to appear around May. It will conclude its history with the first color released in 1992.
And there are rumors that a new neo-classical CB1000 based on the CB1000 Hornet will be released around autumn, and it will compete with the Kawasaki Z900RS. The name and style of the motorcycle are unknown, but it is likely to be released as an orthodox naked that inherits the tradition of the CB1300 series.
In recent years, the "CB" brand has been shrinking its lineup, with the CB1100 series being discontinued in 2021, the CB400 series in 2022, and the CB1000R being discontinued in 2024. There was a situation where CB was not exhibited at the MC Show in 2022, but a dramatic turn of events is expected.
The first model will be the CB1000 Hornet/SP, and the CB750 Hornet is expected to be released in Japan in mid-February. Furthermore, the neo-classical 400cc 4-cylinder model is expected to be released in the fall of 2025, and the latest news is that the new CB1000 will be released ahead of it. Please stay tuned for further updates.

New CB1000 [CG projection] This is based on the CB1100R concept model exhibited at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2007. It would be nice if a naked model with rounded headlights with this tank was released.

CB1000 Hornet [HONDA] The Hornet is expected to be the base for the new CB1000. The standard model shown in the photo will be priced at $8732.18, and if it is a naked version of the neoclassical model, we can expect a similar price.

CB-F Concept [HONDA] A concept model proposed by Honda in 2020 to compete with the Z900RS. It is said to have been scrapped, but there may be an F-model based on the CB1000 Hornet.

CB1300SF Final Edition [CG projection] This is the final model that does not comply with the new exhaust gas regulations and is expected to be released together with the Super Bol d'Or in May 2025. It is expected to be in the original CB1000SF color scheme.
The new CB400 naked will be mainly sold in Japan!?
The CB-F concept proposed in 2020 did not make it to market, and the appearance of the new CB1000 is now becoming more likely, likely due to the existence of the 400. It has been announced that a 400cc 4-cylinder full-cowl model will be released in China in October 2024, and there is information that a naked version will also be released for the Japanese market.
Since the naked version is for Japan, it is highly likely that it will have the orthodox round-eyed style that is popular in the Japanese market, and it is thought that the decision was made to release the 1000cc version as an image leader for this. It may not necessarily be based on the CB-F concept, but we are looking forward to the arrival of a naked version that is truly "CB".
