The Art of One-Off Motorcycle Customization: HONDA DAX Custom by Tacchan

 4 min read

Tacchan's DAX

If you want to create a custom bike that is different from others, one-off work is essential even for the DAX/Chaly series as well as the Monkey/Gorilla series, which have an abundance of custom parts. According to the owner, he started building this machine when he was a student, and he has a lot of memories of cutting down on living expenses, working together with his friends, and purchasing used parts. The bike was built while keeping production costs as low as possible. It is not just a matter of spending money. It was finished with a sense of style.

Handle

The handlebar is a one-off product made by Mizuno Sheet Metal based on the owner's drawing. To achieve a desired special style, you will definitely need to create a one-off.

Bodyworks

The seat purchased online had a floral pattern on the surface. It is lowered and stamped with diamond-style shapes, finished with side rivets and a seat band. The tail lens is also painted since it is a show model. The wing mark is hand-painted instead of being a sticker. The rear shocks are 210mm short.

Chassis

G-Craft rearsets are installed, but the step bar is replaced with a non-knurled one for a sleek look. The brass brake rod is also a one-off.

The 5.5J is built using G-Craft aluminum rims and R&P hubs.

The floral pattern behind the front caliper is a hidden stylish touch.
