Genuine R&G Radiator Guard for Yamaha YZF-R1 2014

This was a part I wanted to get for the FZ1N 2008. When I got the bike, it did not have any protection for the radiator and these are expensive to replace. I have used R&G many times before for just this part as they are great. Finding the right one for this FZ1N was not hard as I just checked R&G website and that gives you all the alternative for options on this bike. The guard from R&G was pretty good and was a little cheaper than I could source locally. With a couple of other smaller parts already in my basket, I got them all shipped via EMS together to save on a bit of shipping. EMS got my order to me in perfect condition in 5 days. The radiator guard came in the R&G box and had all the accessories I needed to fit to the bike. I have to say, a long time ago, I did have a radiator guard from R&G and the paint finish did not last too long but by the looks of this new one now, they have improved the paint finish tremendously. This has a nice shiny but kind of matt finish. The mesh in the grill is small enough to not let any big rocks or stones through which is great in my opinion. Yes, I could have got a different radiator guard from another brand but I do trust R&G nowadays. Fitted easily enough but take your time and you will be fine. No matter, this customer wanted the radiator guard along with the some other protection for their bike. Unfortunately, Webike did stock the radiator guard in black. Brilliant. The guard was good value from Webike and around the same as i could source locally, unfortunately at the time, my supplier was out of stock and had a lead time of a month. With othert items I had in my basket, the cost of shipping all the parts was really good value. Shipped by EMS and arrived in 5 days. The guard was well packaged and protected very well. All the paint on the guard was lovely, a deep satin black, this attached via bolts two bolts on the left and two bolts on the right side so very secure. I have used R&G radiator guards before so know they do last and really do protect. All the accessories were included to fit this guard. No matter, this customer wanted the oil cooler guard along with the radiator guard for their bike. Unfortunately, Webike did not stock the oil cooler guard I wanted so I sourced elsewhere for that but they did stock the radiator guard in black. Brilliant. This classic bike came in for a few small parts that needed changing due to age related issues. The owner wanted to keep the bike as genuine as possible. One of the parts that was a little bit old and not good looking was the rear flasher stay. The old one had lost all of the black glossy paint which it originally came with. Finding the right part number for this was easier than I expected it to be. With the help of Yamaha schematics I found what I was looking for. On checking Webike website, the part was actually available and in stock in the warehouse. Great news. The price was as expected and very reasonable. Shipping was low cost using EMS and the order arrived in 7 days. The stay unit came in a see through Yamaha packet and was also inside a bubble wrap envelope. No damage to any of it. The stay itself is a stunning part, the glossy black is super shiny and both the mount holes are perfect. Quality wise, I could not ask for anything better. Fitting is easy as it is literally a bolt off bolt on part. After adding this and reattaching the flasher unit the job was complete. On to the next one View Detail

I wanted to make this little bike more presentable and a lot of the consumable parts were looking old and in need of some tlc. One of the parts that was bothering me was the kick lever cover which was worn through and hanging off. Time for a new one. Not a hard part to find as this cover does fit a lot of Yamaha models from early 70's all the way through to the newer small kids bikes. Once I found the right part number, I checked Webike website and found a really good deal for it. With some other parts for this bike already in my basket, I got them all shipped together to save money on the shipping fees. In a matter of 7 days the order arrived. The cover lever was packaged really well, it came in the standard Yamaha packaging and inside a bubble wrap envelope too. The cover itself is a moulded rubber one that is well made. The moulding is accurate and there were no extra pieces of rubber hanging off which just shows the top quality of the genuine Yamaha part. Fitting is easy as it is literally a push on fit, a tiny bit of brake cleaner helped this to be put in situ easier. Yes, I could get them printed at a local store but why do that when you can get hold of the genuine Honda ones as cheap as this. Not a hard part to find once you know the size you need and a rough model of bike that this is for. This was the side panel emblem which did not need to be the exact same as the other side as I was also buying the right hand side anyway. Along with the right hand side decal and some other parts, all shipped together by EMS and delivered in 7 days. Everything in the package was packed neatly and securely and these were kept flat as you don't want bent emblems. They look super slick and crisp edges makes the world of difference. This genuine Honda Monkey emblem is a gorgeous black outer edge with accents of red to go with the bike's colour scheme, the inner is crisp white. It is a flat but slightly gel looking decal/emblem and all the colours are super clean too perfect. I have had some in the past for other bikes that look slightly grey on the black part but not these, perfect match for the bike colour scheme. Now this is on, the bike looks like a proper machine. This was a part that needed changing on the FZ1 bike that came in for a service. The air filter was pretty bad and very dirty which was only having a negative effect on the bike's running. The correct air filter was easy to find using the tools and help section on Webike pages. I also cross referenced with Yamaha schematics for my own peace of mind. The air filter was really good value and slightly cheaper than I could source locally at my nearest Yamaha parts dealer. I chose EMS for my courier as they just get my orders delivered fast. 5 days from shipping my order arrived. Everything in the order was extra well packed with bubble wrap for security. The air filter is not a massive one especially for such a bike but you do need it to fit as it should. The old one had gotten a little funny shaped and was not sitting right. This new one however, fits perfectly. The air filter came in the usual Yamaha packaging. Fitting is easy, the filter is not doing what it is supposed to do and the bike does sound better for it.
