Our concept of "Protecting your smartphone" has remained unchanged for the past 10 years since we started developing iPhone cases.
The iPad mini compatible case was also designed and manufactured under the theme of "easier to use and more protective", seeking "normal evolution" without any peculiar changes.
The case is made of solid duralumin called "A2017" which is used for aviation, space and racing parts.
We use duralumin A2017S made by Furukawa-Sky (UACJ Co., Ltd.), which is said to be the highest quality among them.
The protrusion of the four corners of the Solid Bumper is not a mere design feature, but is a necessary thickness to absorb the impact from the four corners when the product is dropped.
These four corners play a major role in protecting the tablet.
Lightweight and highly rigid case precisely machined from solid duralumin to protect the iPad mini from external shocks.
■Pursuit of operability
We have designed the part where the bumper touches the finger so that there is no uncomfortable feeling.
The bumper opening is 132 x 192mm, and comm ercially available protective glass film can be used.(Note 1)
Apple's stock Smart Folio (protective case) can be used at the same time as the bumper.
The bumper protects the sides, and the Smart Folio protects the back and screen.(Note 2)
Apple Pencil (2nd generation) can also be attached with the bumper installed.
The pencil is held in a way that it wraps around the entire circumference of the pencil, preventing it from falling unexpectedly.
The charging port is set wide, with an opening of 12mm wide and 6.5mm high.
Silicone cushioning material will be attached to the four corners of the bumper.
Impact is mitigated together with the bumper.
The power button with fingerprint recognition function is also shaped so that the finger is completely covered.
A rubber O-ring is included to prevent the bolt from loosening.
Attaching it together with the screw will eliminate looseness.
Collar bolt set (sold separately) (Model no: GI-305) can also be used for Pad mini (6th generation) compatible cases since the bolt size is the same.
