This function is a strong ally in touring situations such as high-speed cruising, as it allows the bike to run at a constant speed without the accelerator pedal being fixed.
A switch made of machined aluminum is mounted on the handle to control EZ Cruise ON, speed UP, and DOWN at hand, and a pilot lamp is also provided to confirm operation and visualize ON / OFF and speed UP / DOWN settings.

Cruise control allows the driver to drive at a constant speed without having to fix the accelerator pedal by activating the system.

■EZ-SHiFTER Option
You will often use highways when touring.
On highways, where there are no traffic lights and corners are set gently like on ordinary roads, the driver must drive at a constant speed, and while keeping the accelerator pedal steady, subtle throttle control is also necessary on gradients and curves.

This may be a casual operation, but after riding for a long time, you may find that this operation is surprisingly difficult.
Some people may have had a near-miss experience when entering an ETC lane after driving a long distance and the speed is inadvertently left at the same level as before.

The EZ-Shifter, which eliminates the need for clutch operation when changing gears, was developed primarily for touring comfort.

EZ Cruise (cruise control) and EZ Limiter (speed limiter) will extend the functionality of EZ-SHiFTER to further enhance its convenience.
Cruise control, as you know, is a function that allows the motorcycle itself to run at a constant speed without the accelerator pedal fixed.

In recent years, some models have been equipped with this function as stock-installed equipment, but its use has been limited to a small percentage of large tourers, and its convenience is not necessarily well known by many riders.
The speed limiter, which is often used on circuit pit roads, is also more effective on public roads.


Adding these functions to the EZ-SHiFTER control unit would reduce fatigue-related operations to an absolute minimum.

Cruise control is a feature that makes touring much easier.
Almost all BMW models are already equipped with this feature, and it is also available as an option on models such as the Hayabusa and CB1300.
More riders will benefit from cruise control if that convenient feature is made available in a wide variety of vehicles.
There are also many situations where you want to keep the speed low and constant, such as entering an ETC lane or parking area on an expressway, and the EZ limiter is effective in such cases.


During the development of EZ-SHiFTER, we were already looking at the possibility of extending functions such as cruise control and speed limiter, which will also be controlled by the EZ-SHiFTER control unit.
The cruise control function is limited to electronic throttle vehicles, but wire throttle vehicles can also be equipped with the speed limiter function (provided they are equipped with EZ-SHiFTER, of course).
In developing this product, T-REV (Teramoto Jidosha Shokai) gave the utmost consideration to safety.
Each function is turned on by pressing and holding the button located at hand.
This system is designed to prevent unexpected behavior of the motorcycle due to unintentional button operation.
(Cruise control can be turned off by operating the brake and clutch levers).
To fine-tune the speed, the upper button is used for up, and the lower button is used for down.
This manufacturer has thoroughly pursued an infinitely smooth and comfortable driving experience by minimizing abrupt changes in engine rpm even in uphill and downhill driving conditions.
The speed limiter speed setting is 40 km / h. To reduce sudden acceleration when the limiter is released, power is set to return gradually after release.
When the system is activated, the LED lights provide clear information to the rider, and the button shape is designed to be easy to operate and yet clean like a stock product.

The EZ-SHiFTER, which eliminates clutch lever operation during gear changes, is a product designed primarily for touring comfort.
In order to allow more riders to enjoy their motorcycles, T-REV (Teramoto Jidosha Shokai) will gradually add these functions to EZ-SHiFTER compatible models as new features of the EZ-SHiFTER.
