This innovative lens, after being attached to the shield of a helmet, enhances the total performance of the shield in various conditions with different fog and sunshine conditions.
Please read the following instructions carefully before attaching the 3000LS to the shield.
■Preparation
Please choose a cool, dry and dust-free place for installation.
With the shield of the helmet lowered, apply the masking tape along the opening of the shield (see the figure on the package).
When the shield is removed, the exact mounting location of the 3000LS lens will be noted.
Remove the shield from the helmet.
Clean and dry the shield according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Please make sure that there are no fingerprints, oil stains or water droplets on the shield.
For cleaning shields with a silicone surface treatment, we recommend a petroleum-based plastic cleaner (without silicates) to improve the adhesion of 3000LS.
Please install the 3000LS lens after cleaning and drying the shield.
■Installation
1. Remove the protection film from both sides of the lens.
Be careful not to get fingerprints or smudges on the lens.
Remove the protection film from the adhesive gaskets on the sides and around the lens.
2. Hold both ends of the lens and slowly curve the lens into a U-shape with the side with the double-sided tape facing the inside of the shield.(See diagram on package)
3. Once the lens is attached, make sure it is set in the correct place, and gently apply force to the entire area around the lens.
If the sticking position has shifted, gently lift up the misaligned position and gently apply force again.
4. After the lens has been placed in the correct position, firmly apply pressure to the entire area around the lens to ensure that the adhesive gasket is firmly attached.
Please allow 24 hours before attaching the shield to the helmet again in order to make the lens stick to the shield more firmly.
5. 3000LS lens may interfere with a braid depending on a position of a shield base of a helmet when a shield is attached to a helmet.
Please check if you can open and close the shield without any problem while adjusting the shield base to avoid interference.
■Maintenance
Residual dirt on the lens can be removed by using a glass cleaning agent.
Do not use abrasives or corrosive cleaning agents.
