MOTO HACK: Overcoming OEM Warm Equipment with the Handlebar Cover on Address V125!

How to

I would like to introduce you to some of the warm equipment that was submitted to the Webike community's "MOTO HACK! Warm Equipment Contest" campaign!

Introducing the warm equipment of 5sonline, who is riding Address V125.

Motorcycles and self-introduction

[Brief self-introduction]
I'm a return rider, which is very popular these days. Initially, I started with a moped for about 10 years and rode a 400cc, but from the public's point of view, motorcycles don't make a good impression, and I decided to completely distance myself from motorcycles once I got married. I appealed to him that I needed a motorcycle for commuting, and after successful negotiations, I now own two motorcycles, an Address V125 and a ZX-10R.

[Vehicle introduction]
This time, I will introduce the Address V125, which is equipped with grip heaters and seat heaters as stock. But if I use both of them a lot, the battery will be dead soon, so I only use the grip heater. The body is still compact because it is an old-fashioned 125cc. Recently, larger 125cc motorcycles, have been selling well, but I think the easiest way to get around is to ride a small motorcycle.

Attention to warm equipment

[Directionality]
The factory warm equipment includes heated grips and heated seats, but honestly, even with winter gloves on, my fingers are cold! I've got my inner glove on, but I just can't get enough! All scooters in this class wear handlebar covers in the winter, but this Address V125 has a knuckle guard, and it's nonsense to take this off and put it on, so the concept is it's warm without taking the equipment off!

The point where you feel warm. I'll show you the products later, but the key is that your fingertips don't get cold, and they don't get painful.

Products

1. KOMINE
Item Name: AK-085 Neoprene Warm Handlebar Cover

The reason why we chose this product is because, as mentioned above, when you install a standard handlebar cover on your address, you have to remove the knuckle guard. The knuckle guard is the only thing that distinguishes this version of the v125 immediately, and removing it would be pointless.

I bought it because I wanted to install it on my ZX-10R and I wanted it to look cool and not get in the way. I bought it with the feeling that if it doesn't work, I can just use it at the address.

The price is about 2000 yen. I'm at a point where I don't care if I fail.

When it arrived, I installed it on the ZX-10R, but it was difficult to use... difficult to move... Rejected! So, when I put it on my address, it was a doozy and a great product result.

The one that fits on the address has the bar end and knuckle guard together, so you have to cut some of it off to get it through. By wearing it in this way, you can ride comfortably without shifting while riding.

One thing to note is that when I ride my motorcycle, I basically wear gloves, but with this product, I can't use my gloves. This product itself is like a large glove, so military gloves are sufficient. Or perhaps a military hand is the limit.

It's not impossible to do it with a mesh glove if you try hard enough, but it makes it difficult to get your right hand in with one hand. It is almost a contrived situation.

Warm equipment that I'm aiming for in the future

The cover is nice, but I'd still like to try the electric glove at least once, but given the pace of the winter, I don't think it's worth it. I'm hoping they'll come back a little cheaper.
