Picked Up Review
GAERNE No. 145 Brown, full of satisfaction!
[Usage Status]
I am currently using the GAERNE VOYAGER CDG GORE-TEX. The VOYAGER has a zipper on the side, so taking it off and putting it on is quite easy.
On the other hand, if you operate the zipper unconsciously, it will get caught in the band for sealing and will almost break the zipper. Regarding the sole, it seems to be a little weak and the part that touches the step is worn out after about 1,000 kilometers.
I bought No. 145 because I was very interested in it for casual wear, but I knew that if I kept wearing it all the time, it would be worn out too soon.
As I said in my review, it's a bit tight. The weight of the shoe is heavy when I hold it in my hand, but does not feel so heavy when I walk around in it. The color is closer to dark brown or chocolate than the brown color in the product photo.
I also wear 27.5 cm NEW BALANCE sneakers on a daily basis. The inside dimensions of the 145 seem to be larger than those of the NEW BALANCE.
The VOYAGER is also 27.5 cm. In terms of length, both are about the same, but the 145 is more voluminous from the toe to the instep. I am just a little worried about whether I can do it well when shifting gears. I think it would be better to break in by wearing regular shoes instead of using it on a motorcycle right away. If you are riding a GROM (MSX125), it might be hard for you to shift gears frequently.
I've written a lot about this shoe, and I'm looking forward to it. I'm going to take my time nurturing it.
It's chocolate or dark brown.
The instep is high.
I think the two are about the same in terms of length.
I'm going to take my time nurturing it.
This is a review of GAERNE's classic boots, which have been highly rated by other reviewers. This is still in a brand new condition, but I like how you're comparing it to the equally popular VOYAGER! Easy to see the difference!
The two types of shoes are popular for being comfortable on the streets, but the casual VOYAGER and the hard-wearing No. 145 are so different that it's easy to see how different the two shoes are.
In addition, because I am a fan of the VOYAGER, my reviews of it are well written and combined with the photos, it is very convincing.
By the way, I have always been a fan of the No. 145, but there is one pair that I have been wearing for more than 10 years, maybe even 30 years. The shoe soles are also replaceable and incredibly long-lasting, but because of its sturdy leather, it took me about six months to nurture it into the shape of my feet.
I highly recommend this shoe to anyone who can relate to that feeling of taking the time to nurture something really great, even if it costs a little more!
