Brief self-introduction
Motorcycle history
I'm 63 years old this year. I grew up in the Noto region of Ishikawa Prefecture in the countryside, so I started riding my dad's motorcycle around the fields and mountains when I was in junior high school. When I was in high school, I borrowed my senior's Mach, XS-1, RX350, etc., and learned to drive them on my own. I went to the prefectural test center to get my license.
Got off once after college, first return after 10 years. rode it for about 4 years, but got in an accident and got off due to family objections. Ten years after the heat died down, the second return, and now, 16 years later, here we are. Over the past 28 years, I've ridden a total of 28 motorcycles, from a Z50M moped to a Ducati 998.
How I enjoy my motorcycle on a regular basis?
Most of the time I ride solo for 2h to half a day on the mountain roads in the back of Gifu from Okumikawa. That's about 100 to 300km. The group does day tours about five times a year, and one to three days of overnight touring about four times a year. I enjoy belonging to two groups whose leaders are the same age.
How long I have been riding this motorcycle?
It's been since August of the year before last, so it's been a year and nine months
Motive for purchase and use
Originally one of two mopeds I bought to join my motorcycle buddy's monkey touring. Before this motorcycle, I rode the same Kawasaki KSR110PRO in 2008, and I knew the potential of the moped, so I decided to switch to it to get more performance.
Satisfaction
For applications
It has enough riding performance that it can be ridden in a normal flow even with a moped bypass. With its low running costs including fuel consumption and insurance, it is now indispensable as a commuter motorcycle or sub motorcycle.
For riding
As a commuter motorcycle, I have almost no complaints about daily use.
For appearance
To be honest, I don't like Kawasaki's design, but I like the small 125 because it looks like a toy.
Dissatisfaction
For applications
I don't have any complaints as I'm only using it as a sub.
For riding
With only 4 speeds and a wide transmission, headaches in the upper rpm range and limiting is a problem. As expected, I wanted to improve this, so I installed a subcontractor and increased the F gear by 1T. And a lousy rear shock. Not enough damping and I want to change it to a high-end external shock.
For appearance
The front of the motorcycle is heavy. As a result, the rear fender and the number taper is too long to maintain the balance.
Summary
In terms of riding and high costs, mopeds are the best tools for the job. It can be used for a wide range of purposes, from practical commuting to weekend touring.
But I don't see as many people riding it as I do Honda motorcycles, so if you don't want to look like anyone else, I'd recommend it.
