A Japan spec privilege "short stroke crank" for customs that enthusiasts are satisfied with!

Most people looking for an old motorcycle, air-cooled, or a four-shot will be looking for the Kawasaki Z series. There are so many different models available that the first part of the puzzle is which model to look for. Each model has a completely different price range, and it's now commonplace for the most popular models to exceed 3 million yen.

The vehicle that caught my eye was this Z750 D1. It is a development of the Z2, the Japanese version of the Z1, and can be called the latest model of the Japanese version of the round Z. The exterior is a black and gold color exterior called "Lincoln Black". The side covers and taillights have been replaced with a Z1-style shape.

The round cylinder head cover with a sleek and rounded design similar to the Z1 series engine cover is perfect for those who prefer the appearance of the round Z series!

The D1 indicator is the same type of indicator as to the Z1000mk2 and others with a vertical layout. I prefer this vertical indicator in terms of design! Both the speedometer and tachometer are OEM with the ND (Nihon Denso) logo on them. Compared to reproduction gauges, which are less reliable, these gauges can be overhauled, so it's better to use the original ones. The area around the gauges is more noticeable when you're riding than the exterior, so we think being satisfied with the area is important in choosing a motorcycle.

The custom suspension is also a very chic choice. The front fork is a standard Moriwaki Kayaba CP2696 caliper that does not alter the OOEM look. The front fork is CP2696 calipers, a standard on MORIWAKI KAYABA. The smoked front master tank is also very stylish. At this rate, I'm wondering if the steering stem is also a MORIWAKI-style Z650 zapper stem.

The rearsets and exhaust system are all MORIWAKI. The original MORIWAKI Monaca pipes are very powerful and very racy sounding, but it looks like a baffle was added afterward so you won't have to worry about the sound!

The swingarm is OEM, and the rear shock (OHLINS model without the reservoir tank?) The laydown kit is built on the side of the swingarm to avoid modification of the frame. It has front and rear disc brakes, so I don't have to worry about the driving experience.

The wheels are 18" SWORD wheels front and rear. With this size, the tire choice is as good as the current motorcycle nowadays. Interestingly, I'm wearing a different design on the front and back. It's a tribute to the production racers of the day!

Well, it's a really smart choice, and it looks like it was made by a person who was very familiar with Z-series motorcycles and the racing history of the time. I think this is a motorcycle that has been given a lot of love and affection on a daily basis, with an original choice that doesn't deviate from the norm.

The standard CR carburetor has already been installed in the engine area. The carburetor is so simple and sturdy that it is impossible to break, so you won't have to worry about the degree.

Since the body is so well built, it probably has a standard Votani SP2 kit assembled for the electrical system as well! (Contact the store for more information!)

I won't know until I open the engine, but it looks like it could be built with the high camshaft and external pistons and stuff!

Most of all, what I'm personally looking forward to is the short-stroke crank built into the Z2 series 750cc engine!

Since this crank has a stroke that is only used in Japanese models of the 750cc, it can be said that it is the most valuable item in the Z series nowadays. The high RPM's that can only be experienced with short stroke cranks are very different from the Z1 and Z1000mk2, and it's a very fun feeling!

If you're looking for an air-cooled Z and you're freaked out! I hope you'll add it to your list of considerations and give it some thought!
