Webic CommunityLet's talk about your car! From the GSX-S1000F campaign, the GSX-S1000F will be ridden byWest. Here's a passionate narrative from "Mr."!
He gave us an in-app review of the GSX-S1000F, including the good parts and the frustrating parts, which he knows well because he's the owner.
1.[Brief self-introduction]
Motorcycle history and how I usually enjoy my motorcycle.
Seven years of motorcycle experience.
I rode my motorcycle to school when I was a student and to work every day after I started working in a company. I tour about once a month, mostly for short day trips to overnight medium-distance touring. I enjoy winding down, so I like street fighters and tourers. I currently own three Suzuki cars.
How long have you been riding this bike?
Fall 2015-.
I ride it mainly for touring, especially on the highway.I delivered it new in 2015 and it has about 13,000 miles on it to date. This is my first big bike.
Motive for purchase
After riding a 250cc Across for about a year, I wanted to ride a bike with more power, so I got a large license. I decided to buy a GSXR1000 with the K5 engine.
2.Satisfaction and Strengths
For applications
The engine power that can take you from winding roads to long distances with no problem, and the suspension that controls it makes it very easy to ride, so I'm happy with the fact that I can go out touring easily without having to put in so much effort.
Electronic controls such as TRACON and ABS are incorporated to make it safe for large beginners and those who are not confident in their technique.
For running
I have no complaints about the ride. It's all thanks to the K5-acquired engine in the image. It's full of torque and crazy power at all speeds, but the flavoring is set to be milder and smoother than the liter SS. It's a bike that even large beginners can ride with ease.
For appearance.
The color is cool and the body is big enough to satisfy the desire to own a large car.
3.Dissatisfaction/weaknesses.
For applications
Even though it's a tourer model, the tandem seat is small, probably due to the current streetfighter design, and it's hard to load it anyway. Therefore, we purchased the Hepco & Becker Speed Rack EVO as shown in the photo, and installed a top case from the same manufacturer that comes with a universal plate for the tandem seat, which allows us to load the tandem seat stylishly and without worrying about securing it.
For running
The vibrations are so great around 8,000 rpm and the vibrations come continuously when cruising at high speeds. The problem seems to be more in the steering wheel than the engine, and the steering wheel amplifies the vibration and causes the mirrors to come loose every so often at high speeds. You need to keep two wrenches on board at all times and be prepared to retighten the mirrors at any time. This only seems to occur on the GSXS1000F with the cowl, and I know someone who suffers from the same symptoms.
For appearance.
It shares the same chassis as the naked GSXS1000 with a later addition of a cowl, so it's not as refined or stylish.
4.Summary (Recommended for people like this, etc.)
It's inexpensive, has electronic controls and is recommended for large beginners. The engine has a lot of power but it's incredibly smooth, so it's an easy bike for anyone to handle. Please note that once you ride this bike, you will be glued to the Suzuki engine and you will be so desperate for this engine feel that you will never be able to ride anything but a Suzuki bike.
Thank you, West, for a narrative that shows so much love for the GSX-S1000F!
