Introducing a passionate story of "Poisonous" who rides F4 1000R312, from Webike Community's "My Beloved Moto" campaign.

He shared his review of the F4 1000R312 including the advantage and the disadvantage, which he understands well because he is the owner.

Brief self-introduction

Motorcycle history and how I usually enjoy my motorcycle.
Motorcycle History
18 years (probably). I believe it was 2002 when I got my license.

How to have fun
Mainly touring and a few pylons. But I don't have any pylons, except for 312. I'm not a replacement for it, but I need to drive on the track at least once a year.

How long have you been riding this motorcycle?
It was purchased in September 2016, so less than 4 years.

Motive for purchase
It was love at first sight. When I didn't have a license, I saw a magazine at a motorbike rider friend's house and thought "if such a cool motorcycle exists, I'd like to ride it" and got a license. Since then, I wanted to buy "Someday Crown", not "Someday F4".

Satisfaction

For applications
Touring: To be honest, I can't say it's for me, but it's very satisfying to go on a motorcycle of my choice.
Circuit ⇒ Not my main use, but I enjoy it. I suppose this is where the motorcycle really comes into its own.

For riding
If you are in a place where you can perform, it's a first-class, quintessential example.

For appearance
Well, I'm very happy with this one. Whether in person or in pictures later.

Dissatisfaction

For applications
(1) Heavy
At the time when this 312 was sold (2008), it weighed 192kg compared to the YZF-R1 of the same era, which weighed 177kg, making it almost 20kg heavier than other domestic superbikes of the same generation. In addition, the motorcycle does not have good footing and the weight makes it difficult to relax when stopping. If I lose my stance, my physique is not strong enough to withstand it. It looks like this picture.
(2) Hard.
The suspension is also hard because it was designed for track driving. It is almost impossible to function in the city. Well, whether it can be used for city driving is another matter.
(3) Hot
Anyway, the heat is unbelievable. Even in the middle of winter, the water temperature exceeded 100 degrees Celsius at a traffic light. Without the cowl with a hole in the wall (called "summer clothes" here), it was no fun to ride in summer.
(4) You can't carry luggage.
Since it's a single-seat, no seat bag can be used and people have to carry it on their backs.

For riding
I have to use it properly to get some feedback. It's far from "easy to ride". Well, it might be fun to ride it.

For appearance
None. There aren't many motorcycles that can beat this one later on.

Others
It may be something like that in those days, but you can't see the clock, trip, and odo at the same time (switchable). And you can only switch them when the engine is working. You have to start the engine to set the time on the clock.

Summary

A motorcycle that looks like a full swing. Of course, if you have the skill and space, its potential is quite impressive. Not many situations can tolerate it.

To these people :
If you've been longing for the Tamburini design as much as I have, it's probably time for a payout. At the time of purchase, there was a good used late model F4 in the same price range at the same store. The store strongly recommended the late model, but I couldn't shake the feeling I had when I first saw it, so I bought this one. I don't regret it. I have many complaints about it, but I still enjoy it.
