Webike Community "Let's Talk About Your Car! From the campaign, here's an enthusiastic narrative from "Takenon" who rides a Z900RS CAFE!
He gave us an in-app review of the Z900RS CAFE, including the good parts and the frustrating parts, which he understands because he's the owner.
brief self-introduction
Motorcycle history and how I usually enjoy my bike.
I've been riding my bike to work for 36 years and I ride it almost every day. My wife also rides, so I have five bikes at home. The bigger bikes are mainly for touring and the smaller bikes are for commuting & shopping.
How long have you been riding this bike?
It's been about 2 years since I bought my new bike with 20,000km on it.
Purchase motive and purpose
This is the styling. The latest technology in a form that reminds me of the old days. I bought the Zephyr 750 a long time ago and it was my favorite bike.
Satisfactory/advantages
For the purpose
I'm mainly touring, so that's my impression, but first of all, the clutch is as light as a 250cc. It averages 23km/liter which is good for fuel economy.
You can run for 300km with 17L tank until the gas meter blinks with a full tank.
For running
The CAFE has a slightly lower handlebar position, which makes it difficult to put all of your weight on your butt, so your butt doesn't hurt as much. The equipment is the latest electronic ABS and TCS for a safe ride.
For appearance
All the lights are LED, especially the stop and tail lights that look like bulbs. You'll never get tired of the Kawasaki Lime Green.
Disadvantages/weaknesses
For the purpose
I'm short (164cm) and I'm not sure if I'll be able to get a leg up in the CAFE seat. I'm replacing the seats with standard ones, 2cm down and better footing. Lime green is a favorite of bugs.
For running
The only complaint I have is that my hands get numb from the vibrations of the steering wheel - it depends on the type of glove.
For appearance
It's basically gone. When I took it apart for maintenance, the welded part of the tank was a little rusty. Also, the liquid crystal part of the meter is easy to get a small scratch.
Summary (Recommended for people like this, etc.)
I would recommend this bike to anyone. First of all, I would recommend it to people around 50 years old like me, and also to young people and beginners as long as they like the style. The bike is also easy to ride. It has a lot of custom parts and is good for those who like customization.
I like this style, so I am almost stock. If you're not really trying to go fast, it's fun enough to enjoy sport riding at the track.
Lastly, my favorite is that this is the first bike that Kawasaki has ever sound tuned. The sound is just so good! Enjoy a nice sound with the stock muffler. No need to change the muffler! I've never seen a bike like this before.
