It was the long-awaited new model. Since everybody was used to the VMAX design, it didn't have that much impact as the first model, yet its travelling performance took aback the fans. Even considering the fact that US roads were slippery, it was astonishing to see the tire warp, once the gear was downshifted and the throttle was applied at 100km/h. It left black marks and raised clouds of light smoke. Straight-4 or V-twin engines could not produce this acceleration feeling. The engine roared as if it exploded, and the tire stormed out making large squeaking sound. And yet the rider could still drive mountain roads or perform sports riding, or even drive through streets. It was all too normal, but it was the "power god" that revealed its real self just by applying one twist. No wonder it became the center of attention!
