KAWASAKI has announced that they will be releasing ''Vulcan 70'' in a limited number of 100 vehicles in Italy. The Vulcan 70 is a collaboration model that has been designed by KAWASAKI Italy together with Italian designer ''Mr. Martini''.
The retail price of this model will be around 1300,000 YEN. (10,990 Euro).
Features KAWASAKI Mach Designs
The Kawasaki Mach is very popular, especially in Europe.
Many rider's fancy customizing their motorcycles with cafe racer style or replicate the original style.
In Japan too, many Mach parts are available from Motorcycle Parts Manufacturers like PMC and Doremi Collection and used parts are traded at high prices.
''Mach'' the Model that Changed the History of High Speed
The new ''Vulcan 70'' is based on the designs of ''500SS (MachIII)''.
The first Mach released in the 60's and 70's was developed with high performances to be the fastest model in the North American market.
In 1966, 2 stroke model A1 (SAMURAI) was developed followed by A7 (AVENGER) released on the next year to be the fastest. Both models were a success.
The Mach Series was released with 3 Cylinder 2 stroke engine to offer further increased performance.
The ''500SS (Mach III)'' had a light weight body mounted with extreme engine and was an envy a the time for its difficult to handle shrew characterstic.
The designs of this model is assumed to be based on the 1973 model.
Premium Model in Limited Number of 100 Vehicles
As you can see from the name the ''Vulcan 70'', Mr. Matini, has designed the new model with designs featuring the motorcycle boom in the 70's and the vintage style of that time.
Modifications have been made mainly to originally painted tank with serial number, handlebar, headlight, seat , tail cowl, tail lamp , side panel and blinkers on front and rear.
The footrest step on the front side has been replaced with one with road sports position and distinct dual exhaust has been changed with a ZARD exhaust.

A New Type of Model Produced by Manufacturer and Designer
This model will be manufactured by order in a limited number of 100 vehicles. It will only be available at official dealers in Italy and won't be released in Japan, however recently like YAMAHA'S XSR900 and XSR700, collaboration models that were first limited are now available as regular models, so you never know.
The Manufacturer & Designer collaboration may become popular in the future.
I hope they will be releasing exciting models like this one in Japan.
