The Czech Republic-based Kazakhstan team, which competes in the Superstock-based FIM Endurance World Cup, has recruited Hristijan Buzalkovski from North Macedonia to race alongside Uniserv Moto82’s existing Czech riders Karel Pešek and Martin Vašulín.
Uniserv Moto82 is working to add a fourth rider to its Dunlop-equipped Kawasaki-powered line-up for the 24 Heures Motos, which takes place on the Circuit Bugatti at Le Mans in France from 17-20 April. It’s also working to recruit team personnel.
A statement from Uniserv Moto82 read: “We welcome to the team a new rider, Hristijan Buzalkovski, who will taste this wonderful and difficult championship full of adrenaline and join our regular riders Karel Pešek and Martin Vašulín. We believe we can be one step better again this season.”
Buzalkovski, the first rider from North Macedonia to compete in the modern era of the EWC, finished fourth in the 2024 Alpe Adria Superstock 1000 standings having placed third in the FIM European Superstock 1000 ranking the previous season. A five-time BMU European champion, the Skopje native is a five-time national title winner.
“This season I get the chance to represent my country in the toughest race of the Endurance World Championship, the 24 Heures Motos,” Buzalkovski said. “Thank you to my sponsors, my team, the Ministry of Sports and everyone who selflessly supports me. The responsibility is great, I will do my best to qualify and complete this race.”
While the 24 Heures Motos represents unchartered territory for Buzalkovski, Pešek and Vašulín have experience of the traditional EWC season opener.
Pešek was part of the Uniserv Moto82 line-up that finished a fine 18th in Superstock in 2023, while Vašulín qualified for the 2024 edition alongside Pešek although the team was ultimately unable to reach the finish due to a technical issue.
Uniserv Moto82 was classified 43rd in the 2024 FIM Endurance World Cup for Teams after scoring points in the 8 Hours of Spa Motos last June.
The 24 Heures Motos forms the opening round of the four-event 2025 EWC season from 17-20 April. Ticket information is available HERE.
