KAWASAKI Launches Latest EV Sports "Ninja e-1" and "Z e-1

KAWASAKI Motors Japan will launch the pure electric Ninja e-1 and Z e-1 models on March 1.

The Ninja e-1 is KAWASAKI's new EV sports model that pursues the joy of riding. The Ninja e-1 is a model that inherits KAWASAKI's philosophy, with a fully cowled chassis, agile handling, excellent weight balance, and a suspension that is a class above the rest.

The Z e-1 is an EV sports model that opens up a new world of motorcycling. The Z e-1 is an electric motorcycle born from the idea that the joy of riding is the essence of motorcycling, and is based on KAWASAKI's long history as a motorcycle manufacturer. This EV model is the culmination of KAWASAKI's technology, with dynamic styling that befits the KAWASAKI Super Naked "Z" name, agile handling, excellent weight balance, and a suspension that is a class above the rest.

Although both models are in the Class 2 motorized bicycle class with a rated output of 0.98 kW, they deliver a quiet and agile ride with the quick response and large torque of an electric motor on a full-scale chassis comparable to the 400 cc class. The “ROAD” and “ECO” riding modes are selectable, and the “e-boost” mode provides temporary acceleration, while the “walk mode” is convenient when parking the bicycle. Two lithium-ion battery packs are used for the batteries, which can be removed from the motorcycle for charging using a dedicated charger (sold separately), or can be charged with an adapter (sold separately) while still attached to the motorcycle.
