Yamaha Motor has announced that it will be accepting orders for the 2025 model of its race-based super sports bike, the YZF-R6. There are no changes to the specifications from the previous model.
The order period is divided into two phases, with the first phase running from Wednesday, September 25th to Wednesday, October 9th, 2024. The second phase running from Thursday, October 10th to Friday, November 29th, 2024. The price will be $9461.44.
The YZF-R6 will be released in 2020 with no specification changes! Price will increase by 7.07 from the previous model.
Following the YZF-R1 race-based model, Yamaha has announced the release of the 2025 YZF-R6 race-based model. This is a veteran mid-size supersport that has been in the lineup overseas since 1999, but there have been no examples of public road models in Japan. The current YZF-R6 has been remodeled since 2017, and is equipped with a 599cc in-line 4-cylinder DOHC engine that produces 118.4PS (87.1kW) / 14,500rpm. In addition to electronic devices such as a traction control system, quick shifter, slipper clutch, YCC-I, and YCC-T, it continues to use the same Φ43mm front suspension as the YZF-R1 race-based model until 2024, and a brake system with radial-mount 4-pot calipers and large 320mm discs.
The color variation is "matte dark gray" and the price is $9461.44. This is a price increase of $227.07 from last year's model, which was priced at $9234.37. Sales will be made by reservation only, with the first period being from Wednesday, September 25th to Wednesday, October 9th, 2024, and the second period being from Thursday, October 10th to Friday, November 29th, 2024, for a period of about two months, just like the YZF-R1 race-based model.

The only change for the 2025 model of the YZF-R6 race-based vehicle (overseas specification) was a price revision.
Although it is a mid-class model, it is a leader in the racing scene with full specs that are equipped like the YZF-R1. It is also sold overseas in a road-legal version.
The 599cc water-cooled 4-cylinder engine achieves a high compression ratio of 13:1:1 and produces 118.4PS of power.
