Great potential hidden within a smart design
"Make some modifications while maintaining the original look" - a technique that has become established as one of the styles of customization. However, it is surprisingly difficult to achieve. But this KATANA M0 seems to have overcome that difficulty.
Perhaps it's the black body color and the parts that were selected to match it that make you think so. Listening to hisashi 3109, the owner and owner of the car, who has made the modifications himself, it becomes clear that the cohesiveness of the motorcycle is convincing.
"The concept is exactly as stated, a 'casual, OEM-like custom'. The exterior color is actually a mix of black and red. The seat is a KATANA OEM accessory, and the under-cowl is OEM GSX-S1000.
The parts are selected to be bolt-on, and to provide a comfortable riding position even on long rides. The overall look is intended to be low and slightly long."
It was decided at an early stage that the Active radiator shroud and Ohno Speed GT tail cowl kit would be installed to achieve that look, and the volume around the front and the long tail that these two parts create give the KATANA a smarter impression, as if it were an evolution of the air-cooled KATANA. When you look closely, the red color pops out from the black, and it matches well with the Brembo calipers, whose logos have been changed from the original aluminum base to red, the two-tone seat, and the under cowl (the red x black is the same as the original GSX-S1000).
The West Power separate handlebars/top bridge, which were chosen to increase the sense of unity with the body and provide a position that doesn't tire you out, are suitable for long distance riding, and contribute to the overall look reminiscent of an air-cooled KATANA. The same goes for the matte black Gale Speed Type SB1 wheels, which also improve functionality.

The color scheme and use of parts are ingenious and match the overall image. It looks genuine, but has been well-made, so you'll never get tired of it. It's also suitable for carrying a rear bag for long-distance driving, and is a very casual and appealing design.
Detailed Description
The screen and stays are Yoshimura Round Armor, which are extended upwards more than the original to enhance the smart look, and the front master is Brembo RCS Corsa Corta.
The separate handlebars and top bridge are made by West Power, and the tank cover is also made by West Power to prevent interference with the separate handlebar kit. The exterior is painted in the genuine color of the Toyota Vellfire 222, with red lurking in the black, creating a high-quality impression.
The tail cowl is an Ohno Speed GT tail cowl that is longer than the OEM and allows for more interior space. The red and black two-tone seat is a KATANA OEM accessory. Combined with the active LED number plate side indicators, it is low and long, and also gives a modern impression.
The footrests are Striker Special 6-position footrest kits. Yoshimura frame caps have been added to the stock frame, and the drive chain is RK 525XXW.
The engine and FI are genuine KATANA, but the air cleaner has been changed to K&N. The titanium cyclone exhaust system, left and right engine guards, and radiator core guard are all Yoshimura. Active front turn signals and radiator shrouds round off the look.
The internal springs of the front forks have been changed to Hyperpro, and the front brakes have the original Brembo caliper logo changed to red and are combined with Sunstar premium racing discs.
The rear brakes also feature a combination of Brembo 2-piston calipers and premium racing discs, with the Brembo logo in red to match the front.
The rear shock absorber has also been changed to a tank type with Hyperpro hose, and the wheels are matte black Gale Speed Type SB1, the same size as the OEM, 3.50-17/6.00-17. The wheels are the same. The tires are Bridgestone T32, 120/70ZR17 and 190/50ZR17. The rear fender is Magical Racing.
