A special model that truly embodies the full gold specification
One of the standard customization techniques is to choose a theme color for the exterior and then use monotone colors such as black or silver for the hard parts to create a contrast. The subdued colors of the hardware also have a visual effect, allowing hidden functions to emerge. On the other hand, it is hard to imagine how the hard parts could be combined in anything other than monotone.
This Z900RS by 0024 Works is a car that blows away such conventional perspectives. We introduced this motorcycle before (about a year ago), and the tailoring, "We chose the parts based on the owner's preference for gold and white" (0024 Works/Onishi), was quite impressive even at the time, but it has been taken even further.
New changes include the familiar Ohlins inverted forks with gold outer tubes, a custom-made gold-finished over swingarm, and the Archi engine mount and sprocket cover, both of which are marigold. The brake discs already had gold inner discs, but this time they were replaced with black calipers and the same inner gold specification was chosen for the discs.
With these changes, the front and rear suspension parts are finished in what can be described as a full gold finish, as can be seen. Onishi continues that these changes, or rather evolutions, were at the request of the owner, but it wasn't achieved by simply choosing the color parts. Even if it's the same gold, the color, and depth will vary depending on the manufacturer, so the first step is to match the color as much as possible, it's also important in today's customization that each part you replace improves its functionality.
Onishi says that this is about "balance," but this balance has been tried out many times on Onishi's own Z900RS, which customers use as a motif for their vehicles, and is constantly being refined. If you think of the functional parts installed on Onishi's vehicle as being packaged with gold, you can also see the functional improvements of this motorcycle.
Not only is the color uniformity applied to the hard parts, but the exterior also has a white base with a tiger pattern sub-line, and gold leaf is added to the KAWASAKI logo on the tank and the Z948RS emblem (made by Archi) on the side cover, showing off the high quality of this motorcycle. It seems to have reached a certain pinnacle of quality.
Detailed Description
The American Dream cafe racer cowl kit is mounted low, which is the 0024 Works style, and the handlebars are not included in the kit, but are Hurricane separate handlebars. The front master is Brembo RCS, and the clutch lever is made by RIDEA.
The meter has also been changed to an EL meter with a white panel to enhance the overall unity of the motorcycle. The steering stem has been changed to a black sculpture stem kit.
The seat has also been changed to a tuck-roll type, and even the shape has been changed this time. The KAWASAKI logo on the fuel tank, the newly changed Archie side cover logo, and the upper and lower lines of the tiger pattern have been upgraded to a gold leaf finish.
The new BEET footpegs (including pillion footpegs) are in the same color as the 0024 Works original link plate and the Archi logo plug (marigold) on the swingarm pivot. The uniformity of the gold is visible in this cut.
The engine and frame are standard, but a gold and purple titanium power radiator core guard, a black OVER subframe, and Trickster Motor Armor (engine cover, finished in white here) have been added. The front and rear engine mount kits and sprocket cover have also been changed to Archi billet honeycomb (marigold).
The rear shock absorber offset to the right side, is a 0024 Works Enapter. You can order the spring color, and of course I chose gold.
The front forks have been changed to Ohlins FGRT207s using the Nobrest E×M package, and the front brakes have been changed from the previous Brembo GP4-RS calipers to black 484 cafe racer calipers, with the discs also being changed to Brembo Super Sports.
The rear brakes are also black-finished Brembo GP2 calipers, combined with Sunstar Works expanded discs. The disc inners are also gold-colored. The exhaust system is an American Dream Neo short muffler UP type (only the collector is stainless steel, the rest is titanium), and three options have been added to enhance the golden look: quenching (hardening), polishing (mirror polishing finish), and shot emblem (emblem processing on the tail pipe).
The swingarm is an OVER Type 9 with a gold finish. The front and rear wheels are Marchesini M7RS 3.50-17/6.00-17 sizes, of course gold. The center of the side of each spoke is blackened.
