Hello! It's Matt! The other day, I went to a media test ride of the new Daytona 660, Triumph's super sports motorcycle, which has been given the nickname "Daytona."

I have previously ridden the company's "Daytona 675", "Daytona Moto2 765 Limited Edition" and "Daytona". It is no exaggeration to say that I am a genuine Daytona owner, so I entered the media test drive venue with a strong breath, saying "I have to check out this new Daytona!!" But unfortunately, it was raining heavily. What's more, the temperature was so low that you could see snow on both sides of the test riding course, making it the worst possible condition for a test ride lol.

Overview of the New Daytona 660

Now, the new Daytona 660 is a hot topic, but it has been developed based on the triple engine of the already released Trident 660, but it has been significantly tuned from the Trident 660. The 659cc water-cooled in-line 3-cylinder DOHC 12-valve engine produces a maximum output of 95PS and a maximum torque of 69Nm. This is an increase of 14PS and 5Nm of torque compared to the Trident 660.

The Daytona 675/765 was a Spartan super sports model, but the Daytona 660 has separate handlebars, but it is mounted a little more upright. The seat height is 810mm, which is low for a SS model, which is a nice point for short people.

Since the pillion seat is flat, it looks like it would be easy to attach a seat back around the tail. It looks like it could carry a lot of things!
