Simultaneous Development of Three Models
SUZUKI Sports Motorcycle is the GSX-R brand. Basically, the GSX-R is a 600/750/1000cc that is designed to compete in races. It was a class parallel four-cylinder model that was easy to handle inspite of its high power output, but was too high-performance for a select group of drivers.
In contrast, the newly released 800cc model is the GSX-8R, and to be more precise, the "R" in the name differs from the previous models.
The GSX-8R is equipped with a newly designed liquid-cooled, parallel twin-cylinder engine. It is a modular concept model that shares the same engine and frame with the previously released V-Strom 800 and GSX-8S. Aside from the adventure-type V-Strom, it is a brother model to the GSX-8S. Compared to the naked model 8S, this model has a full cowl with exclusive front and rear suspension.
