The 51st Tokyo Motorcycle Show was recently held. This year's show was again very exciting, with the latest vehicles, ambitious demo models, and new products from the four major manufacturers as well as various other manufacturers.
We at Webike+ have been running a variety of articles on the show according to genre and booths, but here we will focus on the Hunter Cubs.
Here at Webike+, we have been writing about the Hunter Cub, which we found at Kitaco and SP Takegawa's booth, and it was amazing.
Check out the front line of Hunter Cub customization, which is still expanding.
SP Takegawa CT125 Hunter Cub (JA65)
First up is SP Takegawa's Hunter Cub. Based on the JA65, it incorporates many popular and latest parts of the same model. There are so many parts that it would be impossible to introduce them all one by one.

SPECIAL PARTS TAKEGAWA CT125 (JA65)
Among the highlights of this year's event is the engine. It is equipped with SP Takegawa's Superhead 4V+R bore-up kit 145cc, which JA65 owners have been longing for, and a big throttle body kit optimized for it. Both are the latest products before their release.

A variety of items from the latest items to popular staples.
The Superhead 4V+R combo kit for JA55 by SP Takegawa, which is already on the market, had a displacement of 181cc, but since the JA65 engine is said to have a lower upper limit for bore up, this combination would probably be the strongest JA65 engine.
In other words, if you are aiming for the strongest JA65, you should choose this one.
The exhaust installed is the new Tracker exhaust (government-certified).
The short style is the coolest.
Now, the latest item, is the Superhead 4V+R Bore Up Kit 145cc.
Take a look at it first.

The rounded shape is proof of a super head.
The standard Hunter Cub has two SOHC valves. SOHC means that increasing the number of valves with a single cam requires extremely high technology, but SP Takegawa's Superhead 4V+R has made this possible.
It is truly the most powerful SOHC head that achieves high RPM performance while utilizing the advantages of SOHC such as lightweight and low drive resistance.

Plug position will be center-plugged
The port shape, combustion chamber shape, and valve pinching angle were also thoroughly reviewed to achieve the 4-valve conversion, and a center plug was also adopted.
The Big Throttle Body Kit, combined with the Superhead 4V+R Bore Up Kit 145cc, acts like a large-diameter carburetor in a carburetor. This item corresponds to the increased intake/exhaust efficiency by the bore up and Superhead 4V+R, and will probably be released at the same time.
The booth also displays the Superhead 4V+R Bore Up Kit 145cc and the Big Throttle Body Kit alone. It appears to be compatible not only with JA65 but also with Monkey 125 (JB03), DAX125 (JB04), and Grom (JC92).

Parts Configuration
As for the release date of SP Takegawa's Superhead 4V+R Bore Up Kit 145cc & Big Throttle Body Kit, it is scheduled to go on sale at the end of May, and the price is yet to be determined.
Kitaco CT125 Hunter Cub (JA55)
Next up is a fully customized CT125 from Kitaco. Based on a JA55, the bore was increased to 181cc. This hunter cub is also equipped with a DOHC head, making it an amazing engine. Following the JA65, which is one of the strongest classes, comes the JA55, which is also one of the strongest classes.
Of course, the kit is also filled with Kitaco's popular and latest parts. The Ultra Robot Arm Lock, which is known as the strongest motorcycle security item, is casually installed on the rear wheel.

KITACO CT125 (JA55)
The other side is also loaded with parts. The front axle and other parts are on my Hunter Cub, and they are very good. It's cheap and cool. The Gears collaboration rear suspension, custom seat, and many other popular items are installed, but my highlight is the air intake.

I'm concerned about the area around the air cleaner.
The air intake area has been replaced with a metal part instead of the normal snorkel shape.
The throttle body is a big throttle body kit (under development) with a UNI filter, so the air intake is complete around the throttle body. So the metal parts in the intake area may be a one-off oil catch tank. This is exactly what I would like to see made commercially available.
Of course, the engine is the highlight of this vehicle. The head shape of the DOHC engine is truly breathtaking. It has a tremendous impact. Of course, the performance is great, but it is the appearance that is the most impressive.

The unique shape caused by the two cams is the best. Due to the change in head shape, the plugs are also centered
It looks so racy that it doesn't seem like a hunter cub anymore.
Along with the DOHC & 181cc conversion, it is equipped with reinforced connecting rods, a super oil cooler kit, a super oil pump kit, a reinforced cell motor, a feedback canceller, high capacity injectors, a reinforced clutch kit (release date to be determined), etc. I'm really curious to see how it will drive.

Super sturdy
A skeleton engine with DOHC 4 valves was also displayed at the booth. This engine was based on the one for the Grom, but it had a great impact and seemed to attract visitors' attention. It was exciting to see such an engine.

Neither the release date nor the price has yet been determined. But we are sure they will be released. We will wait for further information, including a reinforced clutch kit, in anticipation of its release.
